Thought it was pretty disgusting tbh and surprised more people are complaining about Adjoa talking about pussy instead.

I think people are misinterpreting what he meant by it. They were talking about which girls were in relationships, he meant they are vulnerable within that relationship. Meaning, if they tried pursuing the twins, they'd have a chance at pulling them despite them already being taken.

Still not nice, but it's not rapey or as bad as was being made out last night.

Jake.

'Strange' I can agree with. Labelling them as 'rapist' vibes, I cannot

When I see 'the twins' written I still picture Jack and Joe, which makes this all very different. :omgno:

looking forward to the twins getting into an argument with Cristian and Danny, the twins will slay like hurricane Toya.

Don't like Cristian, liked Danny but slowly going off of him a little bit.

Joel, Nick and Jack are great HM's, there giving young guys a good reputation.

The conversation was about how they could manipulate them into liking them by flirting with the other girls to make them jealous, so 'vulnerable' was an incredibly poor choice of words, it came across horribly.

'Manipulate' doesn't sound very good either. Either way they want to take advantage of the twins (maybe not sexually, but probably relationship-wise).

I'm not a Danny fan at all but I don't honestly think he meant to use the word vulnerable in a take advantage/predatory way. He just meant that they would probably be up for a bit of fun in the right circumstances. Its just not the right environment for it to be meant in a predatory way with 24/7 cameras and the fact that they are twins always together.

Tom4784
14-05-2015, 03:35 PM
Saying 'I like pussy' is miles different to pointing out which girls are 'vulnerable'. If you can't see the difference between the two then there's no helping you.

If Adjoa made an untoward comment towards on of the girls then I could understand but people are just reaching trying to compare what was actually said.

What case?.. If Adjoa had said that she wanted one of the girls's pussy then yes, you'd have a valid argument, but she didn't..

Danny basically said he'll go after the twins because they're vulnerable, whatever he meant by that, it was an inappropriate choice of words, how is that comparable to Adjoa stating what she liked?.. how many conversations have male housemates had over the years about what they liked about women? countless, so what's the issue with Adjoa saying it?

You stated and confirmed everything that i was pointing out to make this whole arguement of double standards on the people who are supporting adjoa.

You said "Adjoas a lesbian and she is just pointing out she liked pussay" so it makes what it says okay. Thats what your trying to say and thats what i'm trying to say that because shes a lesbian anything she says that a boy would say would clearly not get the same "oh they just like pussay reaction" I GAURANTEEEEE you if the boys were to have said what adjoa said they would be labelled vile and gross.

Same way if adjoa was too say what danny had say, i can literally bet my life that the reaction from her supporters would be "yass she has those vulnerable twins sussed!" Not "rape".

So once you have read this, you will understand why I have indeed rested my case.

Actually no, i still don't understand, all that said to me is 'poor persecuted straight boys'

He said something creepy, that's the problem.
Adjoa didn't say anything creepy, she was just vulgar, if one of the guys said the same thing, i can see a lot of people treating it the same as Adjoa, just someone stating what they like, albeit incredibly crudely.

If the roles were reversed and Christian said what Adjoa said and vice versa you'd want Adjoa burned at the stake for making predatory comments and you'd defend Christian to the death. Don't play the double standards card when you're more guilty of it than anyone.

same, both did nothing wrong, nothing offensive whatsoever.

Apart from calling them vulnerable in a creepy way, but okay

I think the twins would have something to say about that if they knew what he had said about them tbh

Vulnerable could of meant many things but as always especially with Male housemates the worst is always thought

but you do realise they could have meant something else, it was wrong for them to judge them but hey most people judge people way too quick. He meant nothing bad from it.

This really, it was just a really strange choice of words to use in the situation. I don't think he meant it to be malicious or anything.

Did you not here the conversation?.. they were talking about how they going get the twins to get with them, by making them jealous by flirting with the other girls and then they were labelled as 'the most vulnerable' .. he might not have meant vulnerable in the general sense of the word, but it was a disgusting term of phrase to use about someone they've expressed interest in trying to pull.. so much so, that they even came up with a mini plan to try and do so.

Yes he could have meant something else, maybe he had had a conversation with the twins earlier on in the evening and was just reiterating to Christian how Sally is incredibly vulnerable to illnesses, those weak immune systems are bastards!

But with the topic of the conversation and the context of the words he used, what he said was completely inappropriate IMO, the worse of the word 'vulnerable' was gross and uncalled for.

It was a bit of an odd word to use. Desn't mean he's a rapist, although it was a bit creepy.

I don't think it was a nice thing to say though. Typical 'lad' speak, with clearly no care for the girls or their partners, speaking of them like some project to pursue. In the real world these kind of conversations usually go 'they have a boyfriend? Mate that don't mean anything, she'll still take my dick'. "Lad" talk eurgh

Typical, an attractive white male says something and it's fine but a gay woman of color does and it creates much more uproar/conversation. It makes me angry but unfortunately we live in an institutionally racist and sexist society.

Honestly, Danny just comes across unintelligent with little to no substance. What he said per say wasn't particularly offensive (Cristians bed thing was far more ridiculous) but nonetheless sexism shouldn't go unnoticed (happens way too often) so good on you for picking up on it, Hayden!

And why do you think that is? Low representation of people of color on British television? Ignorance to homosexuality? Benevolent sexism because girls 'have' to be all sweet and submissive and can't actively talk about sex in public? Bull****, it's institutional sexism and racism, no doubt about it.

This is just wrong and is why so many cry "PC rubbish" and do the causes themselves no good whatsoever.

I always say both males and females are bad as each other. everyone is all equal and should be treated the same from comments to actions etc. but I found nothing offensive about last nights show. Maybe Cristains bed comment but it was only day 1 and we hardly know them as much. Only time will tell

The worst of it for me was that they said they would use Chloe and Sarah to get into the Twins heads and make them jealous. Seriously sad.

I didn't say he was a rapist.

But I could imagine that a rapist would also use the word 'vulnerable' to discuss which girl they would target.

In context, Danny used the wrong word. He meant that the twins are the kind of girls that would get jealous if he tried to pull Chloe or Harriet and sleep with him despite being in relationships

Still a horrible thing to say but not as vile as it sounds.
