View Full Version : Harriet Come on girl, you'll be alright
Big Brother shouldn't have a personality IMO but at least it cheered Harriet up.

Me too
I agree, it was very strange and out of character but it was sweet, so i'll let it slide. Felt for her, it must be frustrating being in a house where so many people have already been exposed to media and she's in the minority having not done so.

She is fine apart from being a kipper, how come we don't know anyone elses political affiliations?

Yeah I really liked the ending too. I really felt for Harriet she must feel out of her depth with some of the others who have had tasted fame have always had money or have money now etc. She's come across really well so far Harriet is definitely a contender for the win!
Drew.

It was a nice moment, it's their job to make them feel more comfortable when they're in the DR

Caring, down to earth, and normal. I have a soft spot for her. Hope she goes far.

She was sweet in that diary room bit at the end. It made me notice her more.
I agree with BB being official, but it's OK to throw a little bit of little comments (not to often, making it with a good taste).
Here in Israel it has become unbearable - there's only one BB-voice (the main editor) and lately there's no distance at all between him and the hms which is awful, they almost flirt with him:yuk:

I hated that whole segment tbh, you could tell that she was acting, and BB's response was like it was took from a really bad B Movie.

We know that Joel's a Tory and that Chloe voted Labour. And that Aaron doesn't know what a polotics is (he likes recycling though).

Nice ending and I like when BB shows a human side. It reminds me of the BB3 DR voices.
I think it's brilliant when Big Brother throws in a line like that every now and again.
In terms of Harriet in the DR, I think they all go through the motions within the first few days. There will have been so much hype about them going in the house - they had interviews before going in, photoshoots, they filmed their VTs, and then there was the excitement about going into the house. But then when Day 2 comes around and they've all actually had time to sit down and stew, it finally hits home where they are, what they're doing and so on. They're stuck with a load of other people in a relatively small space.
I think it's just the comedown after all the excitement and hype leading up to the launch. I like her though. She seems very much real. I can't say the same about some others though.

Does anyone else get confused with Chloe and Harriet in the house. I think they look very similar. Only for the names going up at the moment I am not sure I could tell them apart. Their hair colour and style is definitely similar. I know Harriet is slightly slimmer but still Both are fairly down to earth girls but Harriet needs to remember that all the housemates have different backgrounds and are different in many ways to each other and just join in more

is it just me that's not crazy about human-BB then? I prefer them to be cold and unemotional.
I thought it was rather sweet - I don't mind it, especially when a housemate is feeling down.

It's ok on rare occasions. We know Jack voted Labour Cherie :)

i found the hole segment really lame
Thinking about it, I'm sure one of the twins in BB14 said that BB sang Defying Gravity with him in the Diary Room
...awww it was sweet.....Harriet thinking that she hadn't achieved as much as the others..somehow that she hadn't done much in her life and there she was sitting in the DR of BB...

Oh right I tuned out a bit duiring VT's , at any rate she seems fine apart from her politics

No I'm the exact same

Whatever happened to
"Take all the time you need"
"Big Brother is always here to talk" etc
It was a nice moment, it's their job to make them feel more comfortable when they're in the DRAgree it was well said.BB will form opinion's and must sometimes feel piddled off when HMs go to the DR with perhaps the sole purpose of attempting to gain air time.?
Last night I did not feel this was so.She was genuine when showing her distress and the BB one liner helped her.
It reminded me of the CBB when Paddy went in there on the pretence of complaining about Jedward but gradually the truth came out he was homesick feeling like a fish out of water and genuinely distressed. After watching this I went straight on line and backed him to win.
Harriet will not be burdened with my money its to soon but I feel she did herself some good without intending to.?

It was ok as a one off although I'm generally against casual Big Brother. Reminds us that it's just a man/woman behind a microphone. I prefer Big Brother as some unknown entity with no personality.
Jake.

I'm usually not a fan of the DR being personal but it was a nice moment and it made her feel better

It's good because it's rare. As I said, some people think that BB has always been serious, in early years, BB has been quite conversational. BB3 for example. I even remember on BBLB one day, they even had clips of BB bits and the funny moments, trying to cheer up HMs etc...
I saw a tweet too, Harriet's sister has praised it. I can't remember the last time a fam member of a HM has been so positive about BB in terms of helping someone make feel better. As BB is always negative and usually try and embarrass or humiliate HMs, it's nice to see. Here was her tweet:
