Been trying to give this season a chance after the dire one last year which I gave up on after 3 weeks, but I'm honestly struggling with this season already and I had hoped C5 would have learned from their mistakes last year.

Is anyone else feeling like this already about the season?

Really? I'm quite surprised how much I'm enjoying it, it feels very nostalgic and is taking me back to the C4 days

Everyone knows on here how much I enjoy the drama filled series, hence why I loved BB15 despite all the criticism, but I'm quite liking how relaxed it is at the minute, and on the whole the cast are pretty likeable as people which is more than can be said for last year's bunch. It's been funny, intriguing and a pleasure to watch so far. Obviously I'll need something to kick off soon but so far I've been very impressed.

On reflection, I am finding it hard to watch because there are way too many actors and gamers in there. Its getting very predictable and everytime I see Aaron, I want to slap the screen and pull my hair out.

Actually yes Ben, I am finding it really hard to sit through it, there is little happening, the twists are awful and although I like most of the housemates, none really stand out for me.

I am hoping it can only get better.

Yep, if there is 1 more highlight show focussed on he fancies her and she fancies him, it will be time to switch channels for me. I had high hopes for this series, and I like that there have been nearly zero high octane arguments, but the housemates seem to be at such a low intellectual level that they are incapable of raising it above the school yard

I'm really enjoying it, feels like the most 'C4' like series we've had on Channel 5. The only thing that has been crap so far is last Friday's twist.

Surprised people aren't enjoying it. I guess given the way the latest CBB's and BB15 have been though with constant negativity and arguments people must be used to that now and prefer that over what we're getting now with BB16 which is far better imo.

Nah, I'm quite enjoying it. There's a few housemates who are annoying me a bit but on the whole it's been a good first week so far and the cast is mostly likeable. The twist on Friday was pointless and the upcoming outside perception task but I'm hoping that they won't put a dampener on things too much.

Disappointed with the twists and the cast but it's not draining, comic relief has been more regular than many recent series'. Still just about 'worth watching' for me.

My main issue with this season is it's one dimensional in a different way to BB15, instead of constant arguments we've got constant sex talk instead and I know which one I can handle more of and it certainly isn't the latter.

This is why we need Live Feed back though so we could get interesting conversations from these people.

For 4 years the viewers have told them what's missing (the live feed) and what there's been too much of (nomination twists, stupid tasks, etc.) and they respond by continuing with no live feed and giving us more twists and even dumber tasks.

They have lost all sight of the fact that this is an interactive show that lives or dies by how engaged the viewers are with it. Something that is becoming increasingly impossible for viewers to do as the trust between them and the show evaporates.

I'll quote the Executive producer of BB Canada...

"Since they can watch you 24/7 online, you have to tell true stories, you have to tell people’s true experiences, and you can’t make up some cagey reality thing. You don’t have that choice. You’re held accountable to the truth of the experience with those houseguests. That’s why it really is an authentic social experiment."

I continue to love the concept of putting 12 - 16 different people in a house and seeing how they get along and what stories develop. But I have lost all faith in the producers to get out of the way. They seem to see it as little more than a vehicle to celebrate themselves and their "genius" ideas which leave most of us invariably feeling underwhelmed.

I switched it off as soon as that contestant read out she had to do a lap dance.....cringe! Not putting up with cringe stuff and excessive bad language. The contestants are not interesting either - all there to achieve celebrity status -

No one watches them, they are a waste of time.

I started watching Big Brother because I came in one night about 1 am and saw Dean, Bubble, Amma and Narrinder talking around a camp fire that they had to keep going 24/7. It was listening them talk about their lives and interests that made me warm to them and want to carry on watching.

Big Brother built its name on the back of those feeds and actually, with social media being what it is today, the feeds would lend themselves very well to it as a constant source of discussion throughout the day.

The fact is, people got their hopes up when Channel 5 brought the show back and they have been disappointed ever since. The channel and show have earnt such bad will for themselves it's hardly surprising that epople have given up on it. Any quick analysis of the situation will tell you that when there is more live coverage the viewing figures in general go up along with the passionate debate it leads to on the forums during the day.

These days the forums are dead, there's no sense of excitement, no spontaneity, nothing. It is uninspired, cheap, tacky and boring. All the technical advancements and yet a better service was offered 12 years ago than what we get today. It is pathetic. The website is crap, the twitter updates are just a complete joke (they may as well stop doing them altogether) and the viewing figures remain far below what they could have been had they bothered to listen to what the fans wanted years ago. This being an interactive show, that's what you'd think they would do, but no. Fingers in ears and carrying on as if there's no problem.

No they think we are stupid with these twists. the hm are in a hot house with no public contact so of course they are gonna fall for it.

I really hope this season has a super early finale date. Day like 50 or something lolz. It's so bad. Maybe they'll get it right next year after a couple of CBB seasons so they can be more diverse.

..really what Jack said..although I do think there has to be a balance and that we will need drama and conflicts, atm it's nice to start off more mellow and get to know them a bit first..I think that's better as well for when there is drama, because it's easier to be more objective when you've got to know them a bit and have no huge dislikes of any..?..the last few, it seems that someone has had a really stifling personality which has stopped us seeing the others as they have had all of the airtime but this time we're seeing them all more or less equally.....hmmm, I'm even thinking..(and I hate showmances..)..that a showmance may be good in that because of the airtime showmances can get, that could really bring our interesting characters in others as the fight for airtime begins, type thing...anyway, really liking it atm...

Its nearly been a week. By now, one could reasonably expect to be starting to see hidden depths to characters, get some inkling of what makes them tick underneath the superficial exterior.

Unfortunately, not a single one of them seems to have any hidden depth whatsoever. What you see is what you get. A bunch of intellectually challenged individuals. For me, this is the worst BB since it began

Haven't watched any of the highlights in full. None of the housemates are engaging. It's just sex talk, how fancies who and Eileen acting eccentric.

This series has finally gave me a reason to binge watch The Good Wife on netflix.

I'm really enjoying it so far, if had one criticism it would have liked a couple of older people, I also feel like others have already said, it does feel as though there is a Channel 4 vibe, I personal get the vibe of BB10/11 HM's, with this lot...IMHO

I like the series being a bit laid back and calmed down after previous heavy series. I don't like when the production manipulates a lot to create fraction between housemates, I find it very artificial. Let their emotions explode naturally.
