I've read posts saying Sarah has been nasty but i can't really think of any particular examples. Please could you refresh my memory. She seems confident and sure of herself but she's no Helen. What nasty things has she done?
Niamh.

She's not done anything nasty as far as I've seen of her in H/Ls, i don't get it. Apart from that clip today when they were discussing Eileen and even that she was just talking about the situation Eileen mentioned in her nomination of Jade

I don't get it either.I thought i'd missed something judging by some posts. She seems like she could handle herself and possibly she could have the potential to be 'nasty' if she was cornered but so far she's been really nice imo.

she hasn't been nasty - just upfront and honest - what you see is what you get. Horrible choice of housemates for nomination this week - the three that are up are valuable to the house and all have something good to offer.

She made a statement and then spent the next three days convincing everyone they misheard her.

is that the 'money' statement. They did misunderstand her - but most of them are too immature to understand what she was saying anyway.

Not really nasty though.Just back tracking for a stupid comment she wrote in her application i think.

exactly, saying money turns her on is hardly a nasty comment anyway

I guess some just haven't taken to her with only being attracted to men with money, her equating the working class to dole scrounging dossers and 'not liking common people', and the malicious gossiping we saw in that clip with her and Jade going for the already ostracised and upset Eileen.
Put that kind of thing on top of her actually having not being funny or entertaining in any other way and you have your reasons I guess.
What's interesting is that Zoe Birkett was vilified for her putting down of Tesco workers, but Sarah is getting a free pass when she puts down 'common people' in their entirety. It's interesting to wonder why.
exactly, saying money turns her on is hardly a nasty comment anyway
I absolutely agree. She is no more than outspoken rather than nasty, so far that is. I hope she survives the eviction vote. Really wish there were three others up instead of the three up this week.

She was just trying to explain what she meant by it :nono: Anyway Cristian was worse for taking something she said turns her on as a personal insult against him

The money thing isn't nasty. It's a preference, whether she meant it one or way or another. And it has nothing to do with anyone else or their time in the house so I think it's more nasty of the others that some continue to harp on about it.
Lostie!

I don't find her "nasty" exactly, but I do find her hard to warm to. Her comment about "commoners" in particular sticks out.

This I can accpet and understand (as much as I like her) I think people calling her nasty are reaching a bit at this point

The money thing isn't nasty.
I guess it just shows a cold calculating personality, one based on financial gain rather than love, and makes her look like a gold digger.

I agree about that, but even so it is an opinion and maybe she needs to elaborate as to her way of thinking, but it's no worse than some stuff others in there have come out with. Being in that house and mingling with the others might make her rethink some of her opinions even.

Regardless of what Cristian said afterwards she insisted she hadn't said money was a turn on and she did. Whether that is a positive or negative trait in anyones eyes is irrelevant.

Such as?
And, yeah, it's an opinion, but it is who she is as a person. If someone has crappy opinions they are usually a crappy person?

So she back tracked a bit, that still isn't nasty, it's self preservation

Well I'm pretty sure Christian wouldn't have got away with saying "he doesn't really mix with common people" infact I am sure he would have been strung up by now.

There must be a whole lot of crappy people in the world then.

Indeed there is, but this one has offered herself up for public discussion, so here we are :)
But what else has been said in there that's as crappy as the 'I don't like common people' and her equating the working class to daytime telly watching dole scroungers?
Like I say, Zoe Birkett was crucified for less.
TBH, I really felt for Harriet in that conversation, with her being driven to feeling like she had to justify herself to an elitist snob.

Fair enough, I thought you were arguing that that makes her nasty since that's what the thread is about

She said she does'nt like common people who sit on their arse all day watching Jeremy kyle.I don't think that is nasty,Just her opinion and i don't think it's about 'the working class'.There is a clue in the name of 'the working class' they work or atleast are looking for work in between jobs. She was more talking about benefit scroungers who just sit and watch telly all day.I see nothing wrong with that opinion,People who work don't tend to like to pay for people make no attempt to work and claim off the state as a lifestyle choice.

Don't think Sarah is nasty. She comes across as Cold and Calculating and is a bit thoughtless and tactless in some of the things she says.

No... She clearly equated working class with common people in the way she was talking. Sarah drew no difference between the two. Just before she went off on her bit about immigrants.
What's funny is that Harriet got all that stick for being a UKIPer, but Sarah's views are clearly far more right wing and UKIP than hers.

I disagree, I think she meant exactly what she said, then realised who she was speaking to and how she had opened her mouth and blurted her usual chat before realising who she was talking to.
I think the same was true on the Cristian argument. People that think she is a lovely girl are in for a very rude awakening
Niamh.

Yes but what she was talking about was something she wrote about herself on the application form, so i wouldn't consider a lie about that to be nasty since it wasn't about anyone else

If Sarah does anything actually nasty i am more than willing to change my opinion of her but i just can't see where she has.Helen Wood was nasty,A full blown bully.
However i cannot condemn a girl for future crime she has not committed yet.

Yep, I'm of exactly the same opinion. So far it seems to be about how she looks like she could turn nasty more than anything and a bit of reaching to try and back that up

Yeah I don't think she's been nasty at all. I actually think she handles situations really well, such as nominations etc. which cannot be said about others eg. Adjoa

Not at all sure about her common people remark, if could be her polite way of saying chavs or scutters. Nothing at all to do with working class.
Could well depend on where you live as well, when growing up it would be normal for people on Jeremy Kyle to be called as common as muck in these parts. The same as people who effed and blinded all the time.
By that reckoning you could say Sarah is common:laugh:
She is certainly working class, until that rich man sweeps her off her feet and she has no need to ever work again.

Regardless of what Cristian said afterwards she insisted she hadn't said money was a turn on and she did. Whether that is a positive or negative trait in anyones eyes is irrelevant.
She was trying to explain herself due to the outrage she received from all the HMs. What she meant was that having money was an attractive trait not a requirement for a man. She was trying to make Christian feel better. I never heard her backtrack, just a lot of explaining.
Sarah just needs to be more tactful of what she says but she hasn't shown any nastiness at all.
