Last year's winner Helen wasn't shy about letting us know what she thought of her fellow housemates while she was in the House, and she's been no less forthcoming from the outside. We sneaked into her dressing room ahead of tonight's Bit On The Side to find out more about what she makes of the new housemates...

Who’s your favourite housemate, and why?

My favourite housemate is definitely Nick. It’s been Nick since Day 1. I love his and Joel’s relationship, but Nick stands out to me the most – his personality, the way he speaks, he’s got a really cute charisma about him. He’s not shy about admitting he’s not got many friends outside the House. I think he is just being him. He’s the only non-wannabe in there.

And who's your least favourite?

Jade. I think she’s got an evil side to her. She’s got a gameplan – so has Sarah, she’s got a massive gameplan – and I think anyone with any kind of brain is waiting for the mask to slip on both of them.

If you were in the House this year, who would you get into an argument with?

I’d argue with the majority of the House. I’d argue with the twins, the twins drive me insane about the eggs. I can’t stand people that are dead anal about small things. You’re under enough pressure in there as it is without people nitpicking about things like that.

Who’s always in the right?

Me!

I think Nick again, I think he’s just dead level. He’s a bit posh, but that isn’t affecting how he is with other people. I’m going off how I am, I regard myself as a bit more common, compared to him, but I don’t think he’s a snob. I think he gives everyone a fair chance.

Who deserves a pass to the final?

None. Only me! That was a one-off.

Why do you think this series is so different to yours?

The House is full of wannabes. That’s why Nick stands out, he seems like the only genuine person who’s there for the experience. Although he did say he’d like to win, he’s got the same kind of opinion as I had – if you win, it’s a massive bonus.

I think he has gone in there as a kind of test for himself, and I think that’s what the whole experience is about. It’s not about coming out and trying to be someone, it doesn’t work like that.

You gave a few housemates haircuts last year, and you own a salon – so who do you think needs a makeover?

They’re actually all quite good-looking really, aren’t they? Although I don’t agree with wearing baby pink and white so I’d strip Sarah of that naff jacket. I’d give her a makeover and strip her of the pastels!

Do you see any potential romances in the House?

I think Danny and Sarah are going to do some kind of showmance to keep themselves in there.

How do you feel about handing over your crown?

I’m not very happy about it. Unless it’s Nick or Chloe, then I’d happily hand it over.

Beat me to it. The irony of her saying someone else has an evil side.

She's entitled to her own opinion. Just because she was nasty in the house. It doesn't mean she can't say someone else is, in another series.

That wannabe comment was silly though.
BB15 had more fame *****s and wannabes than BB16 does.

If anything BB16 cast is less fame-hungry than any other C5 series, IMO.

And so are we. :joker:

Sure, she's entitled to voice her hypocritical opinions, and we're entitled to point out how hypocritical and comical they are.

Nick is her favourite so I'm happy, but I'm not so happy with her trying to drag the twins for saving their eggs from Joel and his cake posse :nono:

I like the comments about Nick, If she thinks that Jade and Sarah are clever game players than she has lost me with her thinking, Sarah is up and I wouldn't be surprised if it's Jade's turn next time, bad game playing if people end up nominating you.

But she is right about the house is full of game players this year, not many normal types at all.
