Cleo, Ken and Donny pay homage to the Faceman...
The unlikely trio of Cleo, Donny and Ken settled in the garden tonight for a late night session of tea drinking and Dirk Benedict worshipping.
The veteran film director was even treated to a crash-course in 'The A-Team' by his younger companions, keen to 'big up' Dirk's acting prowess.
The love-fest kicked off with Cleo squealing: "He's a nice guy."
"Yeah, he's great," added Ken. But then he threw a spanner in the works by admitting: "I haven't seen him in anything. Have you?"
Cleo and Donny instantly talked up Dirk's legendary status as Templeton 'the Faceman' Peck from the A-Team, but Ken wasn't familiar with the show. "What was that?" asked the baffled gent. "Was it a sort of James Bondian thing?"
"You never watched it?" replied Donny, aghast.
"They were a crack team salvaged from different wars and things..." Cleo begun to explain, before Donny took up the reigns. "They were vigilantes," enthused the punk rocker. "It was legendary - every lad loved it."
"I missed it," sighed Ken, perhaps making a mental note to pick up the DVD boxsets in the future.
The conversation then swiftly moved back to their idol, with Cleo remarking that "he looks exactly the same."
"It's The Face," beamed Donny, making a splendid pun. "He was the heartthrob - always ended up with the girls," he added. "The Face, man!"
"He is terribly nice," added Ken.
The trio then chewed the cud and sipped their tea until shortly before midnight when Donny announced he was going to hit the hay. But not before a stint of washing up.
Not very rock and roll, but terribly nice. A bit like Dirk...
