View Full Version : Do you like Harriet?

There was a poll last week and she seems to have more people like her than dislike her. I feel that may be changed.

So do you like her now?

I thought she was good until I heard about the UKIP thing and then I thought she is just a bit thick. I still think that and don't think she is a bad person at heart but she is a bit Jeremy Kyle material.

Why would her being a UKIP supporter affect your original view that she was 'good'?

No, i do not like her at all. Hope she goes next tbh.

Her or Sarah going would be a lottery win in terms of BB.

Jason.
23-05-2015, 07:15 PM
I still like her.

Admittedly not as much as last week. But she hasn't changed her behaviour drastically for such a big turnaround.

The only time I was annoyed at her was when she snapped at Cristian for no reason. But, I loved how she stuck up for herself when Danny the Fanny told her to shut up. If that was me, I would've punched him in the face.

I do wish she would stop swearing like a sewer though. It's not particularly nice.
I think she should be careful with her behavior as if she carries on digging her own grave, she will be out early, like Wolfy was.

She's fine now, and still has time to turn it around before it's too late.

If someone says they support UKIP I unashamedly and without hesitation relabel them as a debased character.

I don't like Danny by any means, in fact I doubt that any of us on here like him, but Harriet telling people not to shout over each other and then when Danny tries to speak she won't let him speak, and then when he tells her to shut up hers and Sarah's only defense was "oh you can't speak to a woman like that" well all I can say is they wouldn't have liked me then if Harriet was being such a **** to me.

Tbf I do think that people that don't vote UKIP for racist reasons are a bit gullible.

Just like with people giving Tories 2 terms and they're about to bring Fox Hunting back so enjoy.

I just think people shouldn't be judged on who they vote for.

She constantly speaks over other people, but has a meltdown when someone does it to her. She cries as soon as it looks like she's losing an argument and I can't stand her repeating 'really, really, really' while she's thinking how to respond in an argument.
All that and she has a face begging to be slapped. No I don't like her.

That's like saying people should not be judged on their actions or what they stand for. What else would you judge them on if not that?

It's not the same though.
With UKIP, I think a lot of people automatically think "racist!!!" as soon as they learn someone supports UKIP, but surely that's not the case.
I didn't even vote, i don't even know what each party stands for, maybe that's why i'm less likely to judge?

As Jay said, judge them on their personality.

Fair enough but I think peoples actions are a reflection of their personality. So on the simplest level bad people do bad things.

I quite liked Harriet at first.... Now I find her quite revolting. Loud mouthed and gobby. Maybe the vote went to her head... She does talk over people with her loud voice. There is nothing feminine about her at all...she swears like a trooper then gets offended when Danny tells her to shut up.
As for Sarah telling Danny a man shouldn't say that to a woman...what era is she living in?. Perhaps Harriet should think about how she talks to people before being offended by a mere 'shut up'...

I agree to be honest, there is a lot of negative stigma around ukip. Not every ukip voter was a racist but every racist was a ukip voter in the recent election and that puts Harriet guilty by association. Her association with the party made her hard to warm to at first but now I think she's a dickhead for so many other reasons.

Initially I wasn't sure, but then I started to warm to her but now I'm off her again - she is seriously unhinged, she is a nasty cow x

I really hope Joel doesn't support fox hunting. I know he voted Conservative but I just hope he's against that particular element. :worry:

Ugh, it's so annoying when you really like someone in the house but have reservations about things outside the show.

She is truly the foulest female ever to enter that building, every other word out of her mouth is a swear word, she flies off the handle for the smallest reasons, and tonight to top it all off she puts a knife in her mouth while eating a meal...sorry but that's a HUGE nono for me.

Thought telling Jade she didn't give a ***** about her opinion was funny.

Think she's a lively character who adds a lot to the house.

Was indifferent at first and thought she was gonna be the typical nice 'bubbly' housemate (which is what Chloe seems to be) which would've been boring but now she's turning into a loudmouth aggressive mess she's one of my faves. Let's hope she keeps it up

Marsh.
25-05-2015, 12:37 AM
Foulest female? She's hardly THAT bad.

She has become a lot more unlikeable than I thought she'd be originally but I enjoy her as a housemate.

I think if it was like BB15 and we had the repetitive drama with her constantly I'd be bored. But this series so far is balancing things out nicely for me.

This, pretty much.

The only time I went off her was her treatment of Cristian, a few nights ago. But other than that I actually find her funny.

Especially tonight when she was ranting about Jade, after BB revealed her rule break.

She was cast to present UKIP in a negative light, in the same way that Alexandra was cast to present conservative Islam in a negative light, or Dave the Monk was cast to present Christianity in a negative light.

I can't gauge whether the audience for this show understands that the show promotes a specific social agenda, or whether they're completely oblivious. You guys understand that the producers want to shape your political and social views, right? For instance, do you understand that the "warnings" in the Diary Room are intended to convey to you what the limits of your own behaviour will be, more so than that of the housemates?

Yes I think she is a good part of the show and more spontaneous than many. Normally when tasks involve sick buckets I do not enjoy but last night I thought her facial expressions and comments about her union rights where really funny.

Fair dues to BB this lot are not being given an easy ride.I wonder when the smokes will go this will really ramp it up. !
