View Full Version : Simmering Granules
Anyone use these? OMG how have I only just discovered them :amazed:
Yesterday there was a type of craft market on in a town we were visiting and there was a lady selling loads of these, I could actually smell them before I even noticed her stall.
Anyway I ended up standing speaking to her for about half an hour and she was letting me smell all the different scents before I purchased some.
They are awesome with a lot less mess than oils plus because they don't melt you can use them roughly 5 times before renewing them in the burner AND instead of binning them you can put them in your hoover or in an organza bag to use as scented drawer or wardrobe sachets (this will save me a fortune on Yankee sachets tbh).
Anyway heres a pic.

Been using a similar product bought from a permanent craft shop at a local country park garden centre for a couple of years now. They are really good, more efficient and less messy than candles, and not as 'chemically smelling' as plug ins and sprays etc.
Oh, never thought about the 'after use' ways to use these though - like the hoover etc. Good idea.

You could get some salt and use your oils to make your own smelly salt.
If you used epsom, sea or pink Himalayan you could use them in the bath too if you're using pure essential oil and not just fragrances :)
