Serious question...
Do you want Friday's 4-way eviction/entrance show to grab a 'decent' rating?
I love the show and I get that they are attempting to solve the 'ratings crisis', but I honestly don't think they should be rewarded for what they are doing in any way, shape or form (and I don't think they will either).

Think tonight will get 1.1m and level out at 1m, dip over the weekend and might rise starting next week

I hope it flops but it will probably do well

If a huge ratings drop is a way to show them that its their own decisions ruining series and not the housemates themselves them i'm all for it.

It'd mean even more desperation

Hope the ratings drop like Jack into the pool.
Yes. Because judging by how these producers work, they'll see low ratings as an incentive - or an excuse - to do even more twists than they may already be planning.

(and I don't think they need a low rating on Friday to tell them that this series isn't being particularly well received...)

I can't remember a time when they weren't desperate for something to happen.. might as well make them suffer with a nice ratings drop while we're at it.
not at all, they don't deserve it.

this, they need to see it's themselves who are ruining the series, not the housemates.

Don't know.
On the one hand yes I hope it flops. They are becoming desperate and the show simply does not deserve good figures if this is what Big Brother has come to.
On the other hand I hope it does well. I've watched Big Brother for nearly 10 years now, it has been my yearly summer show that I dedicate every night to for months. Crap figures will equal axed show, and despite how trashy this show has become, I would miss having nothing on TV in the summer.
In reality I doubt Friday will do that well. I'm predicting 900k.

What is this series even rating?
I thought it was on the low end of 1m. Like 1.2m. Bar Saturdays.
With Friday nights, rating 1.5m.
Embarrassing.
I'm not even keeping up with the ratings at all.

Fine, it will rate 1.3m at best.

Be glad you're not keeping up with ratings.
It has been under 1 million consistently apart from one or two episodes.
Series average is 1.4m (based on the officials) I saw someone mention though.

Yes I hope so. I will possibly watch it live and skyplus BGT

I think we might see a huge ratings drop.
If you think about it, Big Brother will be pissing off four fan groups, not just one. That's 4x the backlash.

On Wikipedia, the Officials (BARB) have the first six days rated above 1m.
The first week, averaged 1.59m. Down on Power Trip's 1.66m.

I hope it will rate well purely because I love the show and would be disappointed to see its demise. However, this twist is a step too far. I was quite enjoying the way this series was going. We are two weeks into the show, BB is always going to take longer to get to know the housemates and build your favourite and most disliked ones. To start mass evictions after 2 weeks on the basis of the ratings being down just smacks of panic without thinking things through. Ratings are bound to be better for CBB as we already know them, well most of them, when they enter. BB is always more of a slow burner particularly now we have such little access to get to know the housemates.
I honestly cannot see the ratings going up as for a start it is bad timing and planning doing it this Friday as people will still probably choose to watch BGT. I am lucky as my favourite is ok but if they had been in the group up for eviction now I would have not been very happy.
Also when these housemates come in they will have been briefed to stir things up amoung the ones left and we will be back to arguments and chaos and a load of false newbies. I hope the originals left stand their ground as I think they are a good set of housemates. Shane that I think this new development will ruin that.
I think people will tune in just because the whole thing is so insane :joker:

if BB gets bad ratings, then the producers will think its time to get more time bombs and more twists to enhance more viewers to watch, which will probably mean more viewers will decide to bypass this series because of all of the meddling, which will mean rock bottom viewer ratings which could mean the end of the show, and that would be worse than watching disappointing and overly frequent twists
