Now that Chloe has been verbally abused by the bully that is the tinker Marc will she develop a strange Stockholm syndrome towards him.

Stockholm syndrome can be seen as a form of traumatic bonding, which describes "strong emotional ties that develop between two persons where one person intermittently harasses, beats, threatens, abuses, or intimidates the other."

I say this as I saw her facial expression when she was talking to him afterwards and "Helicopter" safe word. Why the **** should there be a safe word!

The whole leprechaun tinker stuff is a bit racist if you ask me. Its fine not to like him but you don't have to insinuate slurs about his race or ethnicity.

That's just a trip to tacky land.

It's not meant to be but fair point. As a libertarian I will remove it.

It wouldn't be Stockholm Syndrome because he hasn't abducted her. I was always lead to believe that Stockholm Syndrome was a bonding between a captive and their captor.

Stockholm syndrome does not necessarily require a hostage scenario but they are both trapped in the same place.

I don't know about Chloe falling for him. I did notice that expression of admiration too. There was a real twinkle in her eye that I've not seen before and to be honest I found it a bit disturbing.

I think we will see Marc gain a big fan base from the insecure women type who fall for pricks like him.

There's nothing "strange" about it. Women respect power. The fact that they go for the bad boy is hardly news.

Edit: Jade looks at him lustfully as well. I've had two predictions confirmed already, and I'm going to make my third. I think Jade has already had sex with Marc.

Being a bad boy isn't about power. Women who go for men like that get off on the continual fear of loss.

As a man he does nothing for me, as a housemate so far he's more interesting than I thought he'd be. Simon, Sam and Harry (dropping her clothes at every opportunity) strike me as very contrived and out to 'change the house for BB'. With Marc I get the feeling this is just how he is so he doesn't have to try. It's kind of fascinating so far.

That's a very interesting statement. I'm guessing you're a woman, so you'd know better than I would.

It's not a bit racist. It's just plain old racist. He's a reality TV guy, his persona is mimicking Jersy Shore, something that's been seen in a few English shows also, as well as across the globe. To blame it on his perceived or true ethnicity is nothing but racist.

Definitely. I've missed the show over the weekend so have a little catching up to do but from what I've seen so far, he's the love hate person we all need and what the show has seriously lacked so far.

Jade commented on Friday that he's like this in rl and so its likely not an act.

Can someone please explain to me this "helicopter" thing? Haven't watched since Friday.

When he's teasing Chloe if he goes to far she says Helicopter and then he knows it's not banter for her and to stop. A safe word basically because they're way of having banter clashes and he doesn't want to hurt her feelings.
