I didnt know any of them were on other shows (tho someone on here did say danny was on towie) because i dont usually watch reality shows but this does explain why there was complaints before the show started that BB had other show's "leftovers"

I think it's just a sign that they're people who want to be on tv, and dont have any discernible talent lol, but are attractive to producers and know how to work the 'audition' process, rather than anything more sinister.

I agree with you now.

Civilian BB is dead. Someone like Eileen or Jade could easily pass for celeb BB. In fact, less famous people have gone in celeb BB.

I started a thread earlier about my certainty that the conversations in the house are being directed by producers.

Doesn't it make sense that people who are interested in being on TV will have tried on other things? That doesn't make any of them contrived or talented enough to act with the RSC, it just means they want to/like being on TV. If you didn't have a hankering to be on TV why would you audition at all?

Because the media glamorizes people like Joey Essex, who, let's face it became well known for being thick, more and more young people will be trying to get on TV, thinking that education isn't important and fame is the only game in town.
Therefore it's going to be harder and harder to find people who are willing to be on the show, who aren't fame junkies.
It's been great when they have had sports people on the CBB shows, because they have achieved something in their lives.

Its referred to as Civilian BB to set it apart from CBB and I always find it a little strange as the back story's start to emerge RE previous TV appearance's and or media presence for other reasons.The producers will be aware so they must feel this works but if they chose 13 people who had none of the former I think the show would be at least as good.Perhaps they should try.?
