from the crumble in DR you can see he is quite weak - the showbiz is a front.

The crumble was as fake as jimmy choo shoes sold on a market stall. He has obviously seen a few tears gaining some housemates sympathy on the outside. He is desperate for fame and quite self deluded and will do anything to go the distance.

In his self delusion he thinks shouting showbiz at every opportunity will make him memorable. He also realises it is annoying so will tone it down more than he would have had he stayed in the house first time round.

..actually I liked him much more last night because he showed some vulnerabilities and I think more or less intimated in the DR that it was more a 'mask', the showbiz thing, so I don't think it'll irritate me so much anymore...

I think he has deep rooted psychological issues connected to his failure in showbiz and his desperation for it, which has manifested itself as a tick almost. I also think he's doing it to deflect from himself, he wants people to see him as a showbiz personality rather than see his real personality, perhaps because his real personality has had a lot of rejection in the past.

Or maybe he's just a tit

im inclined to start with tit and if he proves me wrong, great, but I think he will end up showing he is a pretty nasty character, and will eventually do a walk

If you shout Showbiz! a lot, it makes the program more entertaining and fun. But then he has a breakdown in the DR where he says, "people just think I'm just the Showbiz! guy, but there's much more to me than that."
Methinks he is going through his "journey" at the speed of light.
He appears to think he has cracked the formula for staying power and value for money.

He doesn't know himself.

Hope that helps.

Honestly, I think he was nervous as **** on his first night, hence all the ridiculous fronting. Then either..he realized he had a catchphrase, or the producers told him to ham it up on his return. Hopefully he will drop it for good now

..I also I think that he maybe would have said it more and it would have been more irritating had he not been evicted and gone back in because it seems very much toned down a bit more this time...which is good because we'll hopefully get to know him more than the catchphrase...

Exactly.

He even said so in the dairy room "I don't say showbiz all the time... that's not me". I think he's afraid of showing who he really is (or he doesn't know himself). I hope that he manages to find himself for who he truly is (whether that's a prick, a nice guy or a dullard). I feel that 'showbiz' is a front or an act (not saying he's fake) to protect his real self.
