Do you think Marc is a bully?

i didn't at first, but after watching clips from yesterday i would say yes. He picks on who he sees as the weak (the girls and Cristian) while latching on who he thinks is popular with the public : Eileen.
Just when i was starting to like him he's showing a real nasty and malicious side to him and i don't like it.

I would have agreed before, but after watching clips from today show i think he goes too far. I'm all for stirring things up, but there are limits. I also hate the way he talks to the girls. What he said to Sam was disgusting. Ew!

I don't think he's being a bully. He's not been nasty to anyone from what I can remember. He has, however, been very disrespectful to quite a few of them. His sexual 'banter' has been totally inappropriate.

I'm surprised he's not received an official warning for continual unwanted overtly sexual comments.

I didn't mind him yesterday, but today he has been on the wind up again. If i was there i would tell him to piss off. I hate attention seekers.

I completely agree I'd be telling to p!ss off. But I don't think he's a bully. And if anyone jumps on me while still in bed I would have gone nuts. He did exactly what he accused Danny of and invaded his personal space.

He isn't really harassing them though, he is winding them up, and that's very different. Marc is not a bully, there is nothing about him that shouts bully. Being quick and cutting with words does not automatically make him a bully

Of course he isn't but you can bet your bottom dollar that if it were a woman acting like this there's no way she'd have this much support. I'm all for having fun, but there are lines you should not cross. Like personal space.

The problem with this debate is that I don't think everyone totally understands what bullying is, because it isn't something that can be defined in simple terms. In fact there isn't even a legal definition for it in this country so it just comes down to guidelines and personal perception. I've seen on another thread (of which there are far too many regarding Marcs "bullying") someone quote this from wikipedia: "verbal harassment or threat, physical assault or coercion, and such acts may be directed repeatedly towards particular targets" and then twisting Marcs actions to fit with this (which by the way isn't a definition of bullying but an extract taken from a larger context, which was ignored.)
Another quote from the same wikipedia page states: "Cyber-bullying (using electronic means to harm others)" Under this definition we could argue that Marc himself is being bullied.

The truth is, there isn't one strict definition of bullying which is why this argument will run and run as long as there are people like Marc who don't toe the line. I think though that when you've experienced serious bullying, or seen how damaging it can be to peoples lives, you can recognise that Marc's behaviour isn't really on a par with that. You might think he's vile/rude/innappropriate etc, but that doesn't make him a bully.

Whether he is a bully or not is an academic and moot point. The judge and jury are BB and so far they say not guilty. Our voices matter not a jot so why spend precious time deciding on something that we cant change. He is a grade A tit but a fantastic HM and he is unearthing things we haven't seen and has scuppered some game plans in the meantime. He wont win but by doing a Perez, he will become popular on the outside world for all the wrong reasons but in the past, these types are loved by the public after they get evicted. Kerching and hats off to a very clever young lad with stars in his eyes.
