The people I know who shovel food in their mouth are not overweight. Over eating can often be out of an emotional issue or habit formed early on in life. It's not always simply because they are greedy.

Of course that's the mechanical reason they are fat but that does not include the reasons behind why they are over eating in the first place. Yes it could be because they quit smoking but could also be because they have Prader-Willi syndrome. I don't know and to make a nasty judgment on someone without walking in their shoes is just infantile.

Prader-Willi syndrome is incredibly rare. It affects about 1 in every 20,000 births.

If you meet 10,000 fat people then statistically you would expect only 1 to have PWS.
