I love horror movies. It's my favorite genre of film. I'm not too keen on modern horror films, though. I'm more of a fan of the 80's and 90's stuff. Though there has been some good ones over the last decade.

My favorite in particular is slasher films. I just find them fun and enjoyable to watch.

Neither am I.
I don't mind the first two Saw Films, but the other 5 are crap.
Modern horror isn't good, TBH.

The last modern horror filmed I enjoyed was Scream 4. It's all remakes nowadays.

I love the Original Evil Dead. :flutter:

Have you seen Braindead / Dead Alive? It sounds like something you would enjoy considering you love OTT gore and horror comedies.

I love horror films. Like the beautiful Rose McGowan, I don't like 'torture porn'. Vampire films are my very favourite.

Cool thread. I'm going to watch the death scenes.

That tanning scene in Final Destination 3 was always gross. God, imagine if that happened in real life, and you were in there. :o

..yeah I love vampire movies as well, especially old black and white ones...Nosferatu and Count Bela Lugosi....I love Lost Boys as well, it's one of my favourites..

...I'm not really a huge horror fan though, I don't mind very scary and creepy movies but not ones that just go for the gore and torture etc...

I really want to watch that one. I think the old silent horror movies have a creepier vibe to them, really eerie and nightmarish.

Actually, I find old silent movies creepy anyway, so silent horror movies are bound to be extra creepy.

..yeah, I agree Lostie, I find the older movies so much more scary...I guess because that's all they had..?..the scare/atmosphere etc...especially the silent ones...there was no sexiness to vampires that there are in movies like the Twilights and no great special effects either as there are in some where the vampires die spectacularly...it's all just scare, you know...basic and raw...

Horror films are my biggest passion, so yes I love them more than anything. I'm not a big fan of pre-70s horror and the 80s is my favourite decade. This is a list of my faves: http://www.imdb.com/list/ls072802985/

And just a shameless plug, this is a website/list I've been working on for over a year: http://theyshootzombies.com in case anyone wants to go exploring :P

Halloween (1978) is my favourite horror movie.

My favourite slashers are the ones that use a mystery "whodunit" format (like Scream, Urban Legend, Sorority Row, etc). I'm a sucker for a mystery.

I like horror movies, but not the blood and gore ones, mainly because the more blood and gore there is, the less of a story.
I like sci fi horror like the Alien trilogy and vampire movies. One of the best was with Gary Oldman as Dracula.

Love horror films....not a huge fan of stalk and slash movies that just rely on gore but I like more psychological films that are jumpy and scary rather than just gruesome

Kizzy
05-06-2015, 10:00 PM
No, bit creepy or psychological thriller I like... anything else no :(

Ashley.
09-06-2015, 01:37 AM
No, but I'll watch them with a comedy film on standby.

Rob!
20-06-2015, 02:53 AM
No :umm2:

I do not understand what is entertaining about watching somebody get hacked to death in graphic detail whilst they scream in agony. I can't deal with gore AT ALL.

Mind you, the paranormal activity films I've enjoyed. Psychological horror is ok as long as it isn't gory :worry:
