I caught the end of the show. Just saw him call Chloe "phat" by which he meant fat.
So he's told her she's going for an STI test and now called her fat. But hey, I guess if you say "Only joking" in a funny accent you can get away with that.

Good on Marc.
He's saying everything I've been saying all evening
Saying a lewd or controversial comment about someone to their face is completely different to a group of people systematically, verbally attacking someone who is isolated.

Looks to me like forum members are looking for a V.I.C.T.I.M. again.
there are 3 or 4 of the old house mates that have become a little pack of hunting dogs. I don't like it. The word bully is thrown around so often at the least thing. The pack are bullies. Mark is aggressive and uncouth but he is not a bully, there is a big big difference

Or they just discovered Simon saying one thing to a persons face and another in the diary room and challenged him on it. I'd take your own advice on throwing the word about too often.

Seriously, the need of viewers of this show to find some poor isolated victim so they can feel morally superior by coming to his protection and condemning those who are called "bullies" has always rubbed me up the wrong way.

You didnt watch it did you? They were all aligned togerher, taking turns to have pot shots at him, egging each other on. That is pack mentality.

Really, saying to Chloe that she is going to win and will deserve it and then going to the diary room and saying she would be undeserving because she's lazy (which apparently she's not)? And all this after she was one of the people who comforted him when he was under attack previously. I can't think of many housemates who have been that blatant.
But hey, 99.9% of HMs do that apparently

He needs to grow some backbone.
Says he felt he couldn't say it to Chloe's face.
Shows he cares about her.
But if you're gonna say things, don't suddenly pull back just cos the flack is there.

I am in no way trying to make Mark look like anything, I have also said that some of the things he says is out of order.
And no I'm not trying to find a victim, I'm posting my opinion on what I see so how about you stop attempting to tell me what I'm doing.

It was essentially Chloe vs. Simon and it involved him being caught out by others saying one thing and then saying the exact opposite. Something he's already been caught out doing with Eileen.
Was Nasty Nick being treated badly when Craig and co. were talking to him at the table?

After he had betrayed her just as he had done with Eileen. Is she not allowed to feel pissed off by him saying what he did. Are the others not right to bring it up when he does this for a second time and be there to back Chloe up who he has been lying to the face of whilst pretending to be a friend.

Think Danny's comment was code for
"We're all in a cosy group here, we don't like being challenged and we'll turn on individuals as 1 group if they do."
Still, I don't really see it as "victim".
Simon's intentions are admirable he just isn't strong enough.
If BB want to shake the house up, task team need to think outside the box just as much as new HMs thrown in to take them on.

Of course Chloes allowed to be pissed off but if you want to confront someone there is the adult way of doing it, she was really excited about doing it with her friends though, like when she said 'right when are you all doing it, I can't wait'

She felt it was their call because they had the information. Was it the right way to go about confronting him? Perhaps not. But to start saying it makes you uncomfortable like you're witnessing some sort of terrible example of injustice strikes me as over the top. The irritant got caught out lying again and the HMs are fed up with him. They don't seem the sort to me to subject him to a sustained level of abuse and they didn't.

After he had betrayed her just as he had done with Eileen.
What do you mean "betrayed" ?
It's a gameshow is it not ?
Even if he did "lie" (personally think it's confused and misunderstood) what's your point ?
They're all meant to be 1 big happy family ?
You say
and be there to back Chloe up who he has been lying to the face of whilst pretending to be a friend.
Hang on...
Didn't Chloe agree with Eileen he was the "bad person".
Yet then gave some twaddle about supporting Simon after the Eileen incident ?
Yes, people can say what they like.
But let's not be selective over who's right and wrong.
Chloe is just as 2 faced as Simon here.
Think Josy makes a good point.
Fact they held a meeting AS A GROUP and spoke as a group says it all.
Sure they can do that if they like. (and maybe felt they had to)
But then don't give us guff about "tell me to my face" when they're not prepared to go it alone as individuals.

Who said that? He was simply caught out for a second time saying one thing to a persons face and the opposite in the diary room. It's people who think he shouldn't be confronted on this who seem to think they should all be playing happy families.

He didn't disagree with that, so I'm prepared to believe that she did do that regardless of one moment in a highly edited show that might suggest otherwise.

I think many have misunderstood it all.
Way I see it, Simon wanted Chloe to win, thought she would (maybe with his house training help) and the "deserve" thing was his way of saying she deserved to win because she was young, had her life ahead of her etc.
For me, that doesn't mean he's wrong to say she's wasn't doing enough to win at the moment.

His problem is that he's using two sets of criteria to judge them. One as a housemate (what sort of a person are they?) and one as a viewer (how entertaining are they?) and he switches between the two.
I forgot to add, did Simon lie? Chloe doesn't deserve to win anyway

The old HM's are weary of the new ones & it does seem like a divide is happening in the house. I have a feeling Simon & Mark will be nominated next week due to the original group sticking together.
Which would be a shame as they are at least creating geniune reactions/conflicts with the HM's

Think you've hit the nail on the head really.
Is it a problem or only HIS though ?
Surely even the others know entertainment is a big part of it.
Think how they reacted at Simon in front of the camera proves they do.
Any co-incidence the most criticized (or up for eviction) are making the most noise ?
Many want to "stand up to someone" being right (and then more popular).
e.g. Danny tops the list of suspects.
Now maybe they ARE genuinely hacked off.
But see it as little co-incidence Chloe has suddenly come out of her shell.
Even if you just think "what sort of a person are they?"
You can perhaps mistakenly take the way people act inside the house as a true reflection of what they're really like.
They're all acting at times as much as they're often being themselves.
But yes, I DO want them to entertain me !
Having an argument is maybe just the easiest less imaginative option.

Oh come on.
Why do you think Marc is always trying to re-assure them ?
Yes there's a fine line but obviously some take it more seriously than others.
It's people who think he shouldn't be confronted on this who seem to think they should all be playing happy families.
Sure they can confront him if they want to.
Doesn't mean they're necessarily right though.
He didn't disagree with that, so I'm prepared to believe that she did do that regardless of one moment in a highly edited show that might suggest otherwise.
Point is she's still 2 faced herself
We'll agree to disagree on that though.
What has going it alone got to do with telling people to their face?
They could have ALL voiced their own grievances to Simon 1 by 1.
Instead, they formed a collective group for greater effect to try to help win the argument.

The difference with how Marc acts is that he acts on his own. If he's facing off with someone he doesn't get backup. If there's ever a skew it won't be in his favour. Simon was sitting on his bed with 2/3 of the housemates standing around him in a circle berating him. That's ganging up and that is what Marc spoke up against.
I dislike Simon but it was uncomfortable seeing the originals behave like that.
Also, I'm not a fan of the conspiracy theories but why were they standing in a semi circle instead of a full circle. It had great staging to get all of them in shot. Looked good on camera but has an air of unnatural.

Marc is an awful housemate in every meaning of the word. Insulting, vulgar and I genuinely think he is trying to use Sam as she (the fool) seems to be falling for him. I don't like him and never will. Simon and he will hopefully be out next week. Using the word fat about a housemate who has struggled with her weight is HORRENDOUS even if only said in jest. He needs to think of peoples feelings and cop on. I didn't enjoy his fake display of his so called mahood either. Probably one of my most despised housemate ever
