Am i the only one who is concerned that the three biggest international celebrities in the house are getting the view that the british are a farting uncouth bunch of trogs? oh what wonderful ambassadors for our nation the goodie trio are.......

I doubt the celebs see the trio as a representation of ALL british citizens, I know when I meet someone, I don't judge them, and label everyone else (in their race/religion/colour etc) as the same. Every person is an individual, unique. So I'm not too worried,i'm finding them to be entertaining at the moment.

Jade, Jackiey and Jack are the American equivallant of trailer trash. That's how Jermaine will see them as anyway.

Lool! That's a great comparison Scoob!
Wonder why we've never thought of that before!?
Although you could say Big Brother is almost becoming the equivalent of a Jerry Springer Show!

Oh yes and Dirk of course.
Thankfully the other Brit celebs are doing ok I think. I was even warming to Donny at the end. His quote about Jade and her family as he jumped over the fence was utterly priceless!

They wouldnt pass the entrance exam to qualify for the asylum :spin2:
I dont think Jack is that bad to be honest, he does not really have a lot to say and when he does he just seems pretty polite.
Siouxsie

Yes i suppose he is very polite so i wonder what the attraction to Jade is then
I just find him a bit boring . Wish he would open his mouth a bit more thats all.
I'm not ashamed to be British, but I do cringe if I think that people like Jade and her mother are considered to be typical of all Brits.

Where? Are we talking about in the house? because there are a couple of other brits who are nothing like the Jade trio, so why would the others percieve the goodies, as typical brits?

Its just the way modern British society is. This country isnt the great country it used to be, morals dont have an awful lot of value these days and everything seems to be about exploiting the media for money like Jade Goody (the 25th most inflilential person in the world.)
Im not worried. I have values, I know other people who have values, Ken Russell has values and people like Shilpa can come on tv and show people some values. Its all well and good ignorant selfish people having their day of glory, but you cant keep good people down, and the good will get back on top in Britain, of that im sure.

Spend time abroad - I work abroad, and we are coinsidering drunken louts, ignorant thugs looking for a fight and fish n chips.
Unfair - yes, but thats the way we are perceived in the world, and you have to work to prove you are not.
I work abrpad, spend over half the year in Germany and Italy, with a few weeks here and there in France, Spain and Malta
We are considered ignorant thugs around the world - except to Americans, and thats nothing to be proud of.
TV shows perpetuating the image of the thick little englander don't help - as for this being an internal british TV show, checked youtube lately ?

I'm sure that people realise there's a variety of people, wherever you go, whichever country. And obviously for shows like BB they’re going to choose entertaining people, different kinds of people, people who aren’t average. That’s a main reason why they have auditions! Surely people should recognise that!

No, not in the house necessarily. Unfortunately, Brits have a bad reputation abroad.

Well that's unfortunate. I'd have hoped people wouldn't tar everyone with the same brush..everybody's unique, I watch Jerry Springer, but at the same time, I don't see everyone in America as backward hillbillies ...
