I reckon Simon was intended to be evicted on launch and get promo for the show as the exciting launch night eviction. Then the producers thought the series was going stale so they told Simon to go in for a week (wow, seems longer) and then he could walk. In that time Simon has caused conflict with nominating Eileen etc.

I wouldn´t be surprised, if he was one of the hosts or regular guest (either in panel or a segment one) on BOTS come next season or even as soon as in the upcoming CBB.

on the show, Sam and Sarah were direct replacements as were Harry and Marc of Harriet and Keiran. The only less obvious one and is by deduction the twins by simon.

no i think they always planned to put whoever was evicted launch night back in, it would be a waste to go through the whole audition process to get kicked out-and they know putting people in mid series always causes drama in the house!
