Yet these people love Marc who has been repeatedly nasty. I just don't get it.

I think some of the stuff being said about Harry is unfair but she is rather glum. I understand she's having a hard time but I think she's too closed off to be in the house and she's struggling with not having time to just escape from people. Also, I simply find Marc more entertaining.

Marc needs to go. The show was good until production sent in a renegade clown to wreak havoc  Harry has his number and it ain't 118.
Of course since production loves Marc for reasons beyond me, and because Harry is a woman who gets her boobs out, she'll get booed viciously and get OFF OFF OFF chants and get evicted while Marc steamrolls to the win. Just like Helen, just like Jim Davidson, just like Gary Busey, and just like Katie Hopkins nearly did.

Yeah, i find it quite ignorant really. if you're going to insult someone leave their nationality out of it. I know Marc has a filthy mouth and goes too far but imo he doesn't mean it in a nasty way. He should stop and follow the rules and stop acting like a dick btw.

Like him or hate him, at least Marc has stirred some life into the zombies posing as housemates, whereas all Harry seems to do is undress, wash up and sulk in the bath or under a duvet.
I really want Marc to go into the secret room, because I want to see how Harry will be when she thinks she's achieved what she's been after, which is Marc out of the house.
It will also be interesting to see who she turns her spite onto next. Probably Jade.

So even though he goes too far, he doesn't mean it in a nasty way (because calling someone fat can totally be considered a compliment  and many girls find the term cumbucket really endearing) so ya know, it's all good. Harry...she has nothing to offer now everyone's seen her tits and bits....she spends all her time with Nick. She doesn't integrate or have fun. If she was a better person she should rise above it...if you don't like someone don't let one person spoil your experience...be the bigger person.
She has nothing to offer...she's a bore and a control freak. Marc maybe a big character but everyone else manages him even though they may not like him. You are in a house with many others, you are not going to get along with everyone. Harry just drags airtime for herself..she doesn't integrate.

Marc is clearly bullying Harry and making her feel isolated
Not sure about "bullying" but almost everyone in there is clearly on Harry's case.
No wonder she feels isolated.
Like her or not, Harry's one of the few (along with Cristian) sticking to her beliefs in there.
Most of the rest (not Cristian) are a just a bunch of wimps and followers.
Tonight Nick was talking about pulling away from Jade (again)
Only to say he wanted Harry gone a few mins later !
Such a 'player' yet he won't even kiss Harry out in the open.
Let alone defend her before running upstairs to bumlick the others.
Nick wanted the showmance but now it's backfiring, doesn't want to be lumbered with Harry.

Marc has been extremely controversial...but he has told the truth. Above all he brings some fun into the house. The dancing routine tonight...it wasn't a task set by BB..but it was fun...and it was funny. He creates entertainment...he has bought a new dimension to the show albeit some controversial issues. Without him it would have been dull.

Marc has been a great housemate..like Josy has said..this show will be remembered because of him.

The correct answer is neither. It's a developing storyline and for that reason they both need to remain.
Never understand why people campaign on either side for the other housemate to be evicted when that's to the detriment of their favourite as well. It was the same with Helen and Ashleigh. They both helped each other.

Honestly anyone with genuine respect for women should think this way imo :flutter:
No matter if Harry or Sam are strippers or nuns they're someones daughter and they shouldn't be spoken to be a man like Marc does and the banter argument doesn't wash with me, Harry is clearly upset at his comments so it's not banter it's bullying

But you can't accuse people of it when you don't know them at all. It's like walking around the town centre accusing some girl you don't even know for being a slut or accusing sugatits of being a bully.Just because Marc may dislike women(which seems unlikely if he is having sex with one) doesn't mean his fans do.His fanbase is mostly females anyway

Some of the comments Marc has made I don't agree with (the STI thing being one example), but I think he's a good housemate. A person maybe not so much, but as a housemate yes, and there are differences. And the idea that anyone who's a fan of Marc doesn't and cannot respect women doesn't sit well with me considering I'm one of the people who defends women and argues against sexism the most on here, not just regarding each Big Brother series but in off-season debate threads too, and anyone that can't see that is pretty deluded so

A person maybe not so much, but as a housemate yes, and there are differences. And the idea that anyone who's a fan of Marc doesn't and cannot respect women doesn't sit well with me considering I'm one of the people who defends women and argues against sexism the most on here, not just regarding each Big Brother series but in off-season debate threads too, and anyone that can't see that is pretty deluded so
I look forward to the day in 2027 when you actually see the sexism against men, inside the house and out

I do and you've made this point to me before and I've said exactly the same thing, if there are double standards (I wouldn't call it sexism but that's a separate debate so please don't start it) against men I will call them out
In fact, go read my posts in the Love Island discussion threads from the first and second nights and you'll see what I mean

While I don't understand why anyone would be a fan of him, that's not the problem, the way I see It is, I can't see how anyone can proclaim to have respect for women, yet appreciate, laugh at, or support the things he says about/to women at the same time

I don't support all of the things he says, the STI thing was out of order, as was his fantasy of penetrating Sam and making her cry, but with Marc I mainly support the fact that he's pissing people off, causing an atmosphere and making enemies than the things he's actually saying. It's not the comments I support, but the impact he's having is what makes him a good housemate IMO. And I totally don't buy into the argument that he is a bully, that to me is ludicrous

Actually that's a very good point. Now I liked Dick (lul) but the Jen incident and his general treatment of the houseguests was and is far worse than anything Marc has ever done or said, so...I'm pretty sure this whole lack of respect for women argument could be applied here also

I like Marc and I certainly respect women (and men, who are no less deserving of respect). I like him because I see him as a wind-up merchant, not some woman-hating bully (which is especially confusing since males have been at the brunt of his behaviour just as much).

Jesus Christ, do you not read things before you form an opinion?
I've said multiple times that it's not Marc fans that make me have that opinion, you can be a Marc fan idfc, be a Marc fan, but it's when the things he says get defended blindly for being 'entertaining' or 'funny' especially the incredibly derogatory things he says, mainly against women, that is what I'm forming my opinion on, not whether someone is a Marc fan, because as Jack has proved, some Marc fans can be a fan, without supporting every vile thing he says.
That is what i have clarified once or twice already, do you understand now? Lord have mercy.

That was never specifically said, but I'll speak from where I come from on that.
I've seen people on here claim it's just banter over and over again and that deep down he's this nice person but he's crossed the line far too many times and been asked to stop by housemates and BB and he's pretty much refused. His comments have offended and hurt Chloe, Jade and Harry and reduuced them to tears so for me people who find his comments funny towards women and find his constant crude words entertaining maybe don't appreciate that the women around him should not have to put up with it.
Therfore I genuinely wonder how much respect for women some people may have if they find him calling somebody a cum bucket or a ugly pig prostitute honestly amusing because personally if I saw a man call a woman those things I would be disgusted.

I disagree with the last part of your post, he hasn't treated the men in there in the same way he has treated the women. I think Sam somewhat encourages the comments he makes toward her so I'm not too fussed about that but the things he said to Chloe were out of order and just nasty, therefore I don't get why people support him. Obviously you can all like who you want to like but it's slightly disappointing, that's all. I also don't think the posts about lack of respect for women from Marc fans were insulting as such.

I totally disagree with the latter part of your comment. Sorry to split your commrnt in half but I sort of have a lot to say haha.
For me he has specifically targetted the women with lewd comments, yeah he has wound up thr guys but I haven't heard him be generally repulsive like he has to all the female housemates.
He's made personal comments to Chloe (calling her fat and saying she has STIs) Sam (baggy fanny) and now Harry (ugly, pig, prostitute, smelly...I could go on) wheras I can't think of one moment he's made fun of how a male housemate looks.
In my eyes he sees women as weaker so he picks at them.

I was paraphrasing, but the point that it's hard to believe that someone can have respect for people and be a Marc fan was said, and I don't think that's fair.
In regard to the specific comments you mentioned, I can say I believe he crossed some lines and I voted yes on the poll asking if he deserved his warning for his comments to Sam (but I think that was just really bad humour rather than a serious comment).
Actually, I never find his outrageous comments funny, that's not the side of Marc I'm a fan of.

Well as said above, me liking Marc has nothing to do with his comments (which I don't find funny, but I also don't believe most of them are serious).
I first started liking Marc when he objected to the ridiculous nomination of Eileen last week, and then when he provided a much needed voice of reason when everyone else in there was jumping on the "Let's hate Simon" bandwagon. His stupid comments are his downside.
And I think any posts generalising fans of a housemate and making unfair judgements are insulting, to be honest.

It does work both ways but this current series has a housemate in it calling women cum buckets, ugly pigs and fat sti carriers.

..OMG that smiley....
...neither?
..I love you...
The correct answer is neither. It's a developing storyline and for that reason they both need to remain.
Never understand why people campaign on either side for the other housemate to be evicted when that's to the detriment of their favourite as well. It was the same with Helen and Ashleigh. They both helped each other.
..but you got there first Jack..I would say neither as well in that the Harry V Marc is the biggest storyline atm, so it wouldn't work without either one of them there..in terms of the show and discussions etc...hmmm, I do think though that at what 'cost' the entertainment..?..I think in this situation for me as it isn't an eviction as such but going to a scret room, I would prefer Marc to over Harry just because if she did, it could be another Emma situation which could have conflict way beyond what I would think was 'entertainment' just because it's never good to see anyone with such heightened feelings as she does atm for Marc...he may have equally the same feelings for her but I think that hers atm are consuming her and anyb pleasure at all she could have had in the house and for me that's quite uncomfortable to watch just to keep 'entertainment' because these housemates are real people...
Some of the comments Marc has made I don't agree with (the STI thing being one example), but I think he's a good housemate. A person maybe not so much, but as a housemate yes, and there are differences. And the idea that anyone who's a fan of Marc doesn't and cannot respect women doesn't sit well with me considering I'm one of the people who defends women and argues against sexism the most on here, not just regarding each Big Brother series but in off-season debate threads too, and anyone that can't see that is pretty deluded so
..I actually admire you Jack..that you can 'separate' the two because I know that you genuinely can and do ..with what provokes discussion in a series and with housemates/whether positive or negative and what you would find to be a good or bad quality in real life in a person, type thing because I don't think that I can ever do that, although I do and have tried...for many people who like Marc or don't like Marc says nothing at all about them and what they think is ok or not.. but just what and who are sparking the discussions etc...
....hmmm one thing though just a bit off topic, I don't always agree with you about the 'bigger' characters like Marc needing to stay in the house because I think that quite often..(not just because they monopolise airtime..)...those characters can be stifling to other housemates and them leaving can bring out so much in others that make a more balanced house and allow us to see more aspects to housemate's personalities in general...
