It's been bugging me for a while now - Do you think BB would really have taken the prize fund away if Jack had taken the car and left ?

Never mind 4in/4out, I think it would have been 13 out and an empty house !!
If you was a contestant knowing the prize money had been taken away do you think you would have stayed ? At best I think I would have stayed a couple of weeks for the BB experience, but then told them where to stuff it.

They would have to have done on the night - but I very much doubt whether it would have stayed that way, especially as they'd hyped up the fact that they'd up the prize fund.

They were counting on Jack turning it down and in the highly unlikely event that he'd taken the car and run they would have quickly found a way to reinstate the prize-money, especially given the fact that they introduced new housemates!

Would have called their bluff. Without the prize money, they have no show.

It's been done once before in Australia BB. The prize went to zero and they had to 'earn' money back again.

Good question I wondered about this.In someways I wish he had not because I wanted him to go but rather to view the reactions of the others.I agree the above posts they must have allowed for the fact that he might have taken the car and had something in place as a carrot.

As I recall last summer they did not mess about with the prize money but previous years they have so with 150k in play the opportunity is there for some mind screws. All the talk from some about being there for the journey and learning will then be be put to the test.

Not sure about "no show" but yeah, Jack should have known.

Then again...
Could they have pulled the car ?

Nothing would suprise me after the Dexter "truth and lies" thing.

This is exactly what they'd do. The house would have to work together to get the prize fund back up as high as possible. Would make for an interesting season actually. Give the house a common long term goal rather than spending the whole day trying to stir up drama.

They would have convinced him to stay either way, as he was the chosen one.

There would have been tasks to win it back I reckon.

I also think if he had said he would take the car, there would have been a 'twist' where he could stay in the house..

I personally would have called BBs bluff...if they didnt twist it, hey I got a decent car for a few days sitting around
