Thanks Kaz. I have just sent my thoughts to the BBC via the Fame Academy site. http://www.bbc.co.uk/feedback/ Hope we all agree......:colour:

"I am saddened if the rumour that the Fame Academy is not to be recommisioned is true.
Having applauded the BBC at doing reality tv in a tasteful way that Channel 4 can only dream about, the thought that a Fame Academy MIGHT not happen suggests that the BBC have been cowed be the warped opinion of some of the red tops.
I feel strongly that the BBC should have the courage of their convictions and give us a second season, as the first was, I guess, a trail to see if it was popular. If I had any critism it was that the bulk of the public would have liked MORE coverage, as some forum boards seem to have felt it difficult to get into with such limited primetime coverage.
I look forward to a positive response as I for one would miss the autumn without it.
Regards "

It looks like the show will be held at the academy and not at sheperton
I got this info from CBBC site

http://news.bbc.co.uk/media/images/38905000/jpg/_38905089_acad1_reverse.jpg

I have also heard rumours that the celebs won't be staying at the acadmey :bawling:
Does any one know if the show will be interactive :conf:

By the way here's the link (http://news.bbc.co.uk/cbbcnews/hi/pictures/galleries/newsid_2816000/2816283.stm) for other photos of the celebs at the academy and changes they've made to it :wavey:

So, what do you actually think of the celebrities entertainment wise?
I think Jo Brand and Ruby Wax should be a laugh but its not the greatest bunch.:laugh:

i think its a much better bunch than CBB2. ruby wax will be wicked! ulrika wil be interesting, and will....i really liked him on 2pints of lager and a packet of crisps. paul ross also seems like he'll entertain with bitchin. i dont particularly like fearne cotton, she seems so over the top nice, and i im not familiar with the other fella from casualty or jo brand. john thomson i know, hes quite funny, but i hope he controls himself to an extent.....

who cares bout the singing, i wanna see some fights!!!

Latest news from Ananova on Celebrity Fame Academy - seems Will Mellor is the bookies' favourite at the moment!
Will Mellor tipped to win Fame Academy

Casualty star Will Mellor is bookies favourite to win Celebrity Fame Academy - which begins this Friday in aid of Comic Relief. The Saturday show's Fearne Cotton is second favourite, with the rank outsider being Jo Brand.

The week-long show will see nine stars showcase their talents - or lack of them - in aid of Comic Relief.

Others taking part are Ulrika Jonsson, Cold Feet star John Thomson, Ruby Wax, Kwame Kwei-Armah, This Morning presenter Paul Ross and Doon Mackichan.

But while all nine celebrities are hoping to enter the Academy, only eight will make it.

It begins this Friday when the hopefuls perform on a live BBC1 show and the public vote for their favourite. The seven celebrities with the most votes are guaranteed a place in the Academy. They must then pick one of the remaining two to join them and the other will be sent packing.

The week-long show will be hosted by Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty and the students will be put through their paces by the same Academy team led by headteacher Richard Park.

Each night the three worse performing students will be put up for eviction and one will get the boot, until the winner is chosen on next Friday's show which forms part of Red Nose Night on March 14.

The odds from bookmakers Ladbrokes are:

Will Mellor - 5/4;
Fearne Cotton - 7/2;
Ulrika Jonsson - 5/1:
Doon Mackichan - 6/1;
John Thomson - 10/1;
Ruby Wax - 14/1;
Kwame Kwei-Armah - 12/1;
Paul Ross - 16/1;
Jo Brand - 20/1.

I've just found this story (http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,4-2003102273,00.html) on David Ginola and why he's not joining FA

A different reason for the non-appearance of David Ginola (:bawling:) is given in THIS ARTICLE (http://www.ananova.com/entertainment/story/sm_757929.html?menu=entertainment.latestheadlines) from Ananova.

I have to say that I tend to have more faith in this explanation, than the ones put forward in the 'trusty' tabloids.

It seems that some of the ex-students are also going to be making appearances on the BBC3 Celeb FA show. David is supposed to be on tonight and Thursday next, while Malachi is down for Tuesday night but as these are live shows (with the same two Presenters as the old Choice show, Danann and Vanessa) things could change. :xyxwave:

I was pretty worried last night as they have filled in 2003 with the Celebs names, which is under the 2002 students :shocked: does it mean they won't do one this year :conf:

I have just added this to the BBC FA board:

"re: PLEASE CAN WE HAVE FA2!!!! Roger M - 21st post - 8 Mar 2003 10:02
Well, as a Big Brother fan (until BB3 which ruined it for me) I see FA as reality tv with a purpose. I actually started to get fit having watched the original students. If they could do it so could I. Plus the BBC polished the format so that it was simply more professionally done.
I just hope they realise the first series is always a testing time for the producers but SOOO worthwhile in MHO!! ROLL ON FA 2 !!!! "

I read that they had already decided not to recomission Fame Academy, no matter how well the Celeb one did. :bawling:

Actually the live streaming of this one is very good, I was watching the dance session this morning. :hugesmile:

I've done some screenshots from last night's show, if anyone's interested. :hugesmile:
