View Full Version : Rylan's digs at the fans on BOTS.

Is it annoying anyone else? Take tonight for example, where he referenced viewers saying that they'd switch off if Helen went back in. "Well I'm not being funny or anything but I think she's the ideal housemate for the job". Or the other night when someone on the panel said up for nomination. "NO NO NO. YOU CAN'T SAY UP FOR NOMINATION. They get a bit tetchy on Twitter if you say that". It's making me miss Emma on BOTS more and more, as she was much the opposite. She seemed like more of a viewer than Rylan, and I remember her giving Paul in the audience airtime when he was talking about the lack of Live Feed last summer. I get the feeling that Rylan would immediately take the microphone away from him the moment LF would be mentioned.

Anyway, /rant. It's just bugging me a lot, considering Rylan claims to be a superfan, yet he spends half the time slagging them off!

My problem with them is the way they blame everything on the housemates being boring. The problem with the show is the people producing it, love.

Eh I don't disagree but that is a different debate, Rylan takes a lot of stick for his presenting skills so you can't blame him for taking the opportunity to have a pop, love

I get the feeling that's why Rylan now does BOTS tbh. Emma was getting too honest

It's not bloody newsnight, the point of the whole show is to have a laugh. Wouldn't work if the presenter wasn't

To be fair Emma also used to do this, the amount of times she'd open the show with a remark down the camera like 'and stop having a go at me on Twitter!!!!!!!' was unreal

I support them both though, people should leave them alone...they're not in charge of the show

Well that's his style and he rips the piss out of the guests as well. It's just teasing.

And I get tetchy over people saying up for nomination. They're not up for nomination, they've been nominated (which this weeks were btw). They're usually up for eviction but up for nomination doesn't make sense unless it's pre-nominations and you're talking about housemates eligible to be nominated. Like come on lads, ye invented the language ;P

When it comes to them making remarks about twitter I don't blame them.

People who bombard them about the state of the show should get a grip of themselves. They're not in charge of the show.

I don't doubt that Rylan is a genuine fan of the show, but I don't think he's on the same level as some of the people who really love it.

+ I like the guy as a TV personality, but as a host I think he's terrible. Sorry about it.

rylan always shamelessly promotes himself on the show, always talks about himself, always references himself, and brought his mother to the show and then talked more about himself.

Totally Agree

Who wants Helen type drama?

Its not funny - its unpleasant

Rylan is an idiot.

And why is that Steve creep on BOTTS? GET RID OF HIM FOR GOOD.

It's part of the Helen deal. The smuggest the public makes Helen feel, the smuggest her gang will be.
