Eh, you're just wrong there mate. He swore on his mum's life that picking him and Simon would be worse course of action for the house. It would have been. Unfortunately because he couldn't convince them without revealing why they should pick the wrong people without breaking the task rules they lost. He wasn't exactly popping his mam in a coffin for some beans on toast and a fried egg.

Well if these curses were true she would be dead, Still you shouldn't say something like that over a silly little task for some food.

Just shows how desperate he is just for food, Actually laughable how Ridiculous he is!

I really hate when people 'swear down' on other's lives. I suppose he was limited in what he could tell the housemates but it has annoyed me

Same. It's all about 'swearing up', TBH.

It means nowt anyway, don't really understand why people get worked up over this. Also I think he was swearing down that picking Joel and Cristian would be the best for them?

But they're not real. Jack doesn't have magical powers. It's just a turn of phrase. Do you think anyone would ever say it if it truly gambled a loved one's life?

I don't like to hear that expression but in this instance I think mum will forgive him.He was not just trying to get something for himself but for all of them.

I got annoyed when Anton said the same when accused of trashing another's clothes which he had been involved with.

In real life I hate when people willy nilly swear on their relative's lives over silly things, was shocked when he said that to be honest over a breakfast.
