Yes he has a quick temper, yes he makes some wrong choices, yes he really wants a cooked English breakfast but he is no Marc or Helen.
Jack is a young guy who has life lessons to learn but I don't see a bad egg. Look at how he handled the car manipulation. He said no because he knew it was right thing to do.
He does make mistakes granted but compared with Helen or Marc it's a different level. Those are the vile and ugly, the skid marks of a ego centric society based on vain self gratification.
I say moderate your venom to the real dregs in the house and be a bit less antagonist towards Jack.

I think the fact he won the "Winner" vote has overtime gone to his head, the fact the original housemates have never nominated him despite him providing them with multiple valid reasons for doing so has created a sense of entitlement.
ie when he ripped into Sam for nominating him because of his gambling issue when he was saying "I TRUSTED YOU AND YOU THREW IT IN MY FACE!!!!" and got extremely irrate about it - only for Sam to calmly point out that Jack never had that conversation with her, and she only heard it via Simon/in the media and online before entering.
You could place a few housemates in that same position as Jack and you could almost guarantee they'd be nominated for it.

I agree that weight shouldn't be used as a dislike of someone.
I went seriously off Jack when he had a go at Chloe for nominating him. As has already been said here, his sense of entitlement and his over inflated ego really showed up in those moments and he went from being one of my favourites to one of my least favourites.
I agree the OP.I never got the impression that Jack gave up the car because he thought it was a given that he would win.Likewise he gave away at least one of his passes.
Yes we are seeing another side to his character but we all have this when put under pressure. The only real negativity I have seen against him from other HMs stemmed from marc.
RE His size yes he complains about lack of food (as do the others) but it was Adjoa and Cristian who where accused of eating more than there fair share so he may be over weight but not at the expense of his fellow HMs.
He and harry where / are marcs main targets the latter because she stands up to him but Jack because Marc still thinks or thought that Jack can win.?
As a viewer I still enjoy watching him more so than some others so hope he stays longer.

Its not his weight, but that does not help in some small minded peoples eyes, its the fact that he is lazy, smelly and nasty. He is a big head and needs a reality check.

He shouldn't be condemned for living an unhealthy lifestyle, half the house smoke after all.
However it's perfectly fine to condemn him for his moaning, his constant gossiping, that he provides little to no entertainment and that he turns on people the moment their back is turned. It's grand to not like how he flips the lid whenever anything goes the "wrong" way or how he can't own responsibility for his own actions. There are plenty of reasons to not like Jack and he has no charm to save himself. Mark is charming and despite things on a surface level looking dickish is probably a nicer and more genuine person and housemates than Jack.

I do not feel the need to fight his corner but RE your above sam what evidence that he is more lazy than others or that he smells.Likewise "nasty".?
i don't like Jack, he is an obnoxious, self entitled twat. I'm perfectly entitled to that opinion, no need for concern or to be disturbed.

I am indifferent to Jack, he isn't one of them that I would support to win but I can see myself voting others out before him too.
He does complain, he does moan a lot but then near all of them do or have over this series already anyway.
Often when he flies off the handle, I find that funny and also get a laugh at that happening.
I don't take his weight into account as any relevant factor whatsoever,I don't even think he is that overweight anyway.
A lot of posts contain the word 'fat' as to Jack and I really see no need for that myself.
So I agree with the opening post really as to Jack.

I don't like Jack and it is a definite that he will be nominated and subsequently evicted but in my opinion he can wait. If it was between Danny and Jack I would prefer Danny to go. Jack, although immensely annoying, offers far more to the show than Danny. His monotone voice and fake personality annoy me far more than Jack.

people in the limelight, or anyone who even used the internet are subject to hate, it would have been emphasised to him, before even going in there, that there will be people who send hate, or hate on him. he's going to have to get used to it, anyone on the internet can get hate, just because some people don't think it's right, doesn't mean it won't happen.

I had high hopes for Jack to start with. Anyone who goes by the name 'Pie Face' was someone who would be up for a laugh etc.,
However, he has done little else but bitch and moan and try to pull a fast one on BB. His weight has nothing to do with the fact that Jack is boring, often smug and usually bad tempered if he doesn't get his own way.

It is amazing to me that he is attacked when people like Helen and Marc are in there. Big Brother has always been an interesting show because it is interactive and reveals something about how people watching think, and apparently they worship bullies and despise inoffensive fat kids. People have probably switched off because of who gets rewarded and who gets attacked on this show.

He said no to the car because he had just been told he was most popular and figured he had a chance of winning or would make more from the "fame" from staying in longer. remember the man is a gambler...he told bb to "put it all on black" nothing noble about it.
As for being young..he is a manager at Macdonalds..True its not like being a scientist...but you would hope he was a little more grown up. His anger...i pity the poor people who work under him.
Jack IS a bad egg...quick to anger and bellow at people. freely admits he hates to loss to point he get angry and says he holds a grudge. I don't agree with attacking his weight but after his actions in the ninja task reveal i think it is fair to say he is thick as a brick...and then he gets angry at BB and calls it unfair.
Never liked Helen..and I hate to seeing Marc close to her..but Marc is a good guy..Crude yes and he should tone that down...but the man has a good heart as far as i'm concerned..easily the most deserving winner in years. and i hope he stay true and brings it over the line

He was disliked going in because everyone rightly assumed he was going to be the Mr Nice Guy series bore, but now that he's had multiplied random aggressive breakdowns which are hilarious, he's still criticised as being this awful housemate when people like Cristian, Danny and Chloe exist. Definitely because of his appearance

Because his appearance is irrelevant to what he's doing in the house and pretty much anything else. It's just unnecessary to bring someone's appearance into a discussion and it also just highlights how insecure and pathetic the person doing it is.

Jack is fat. I don't think anyone is claiming he got that way due to his glands. So we know he eats too much and doesn't exercise. Indeed, we see him sat all day in his dressing gown and we see him irate when they lose a food task.
It is part of who he is and I can judge him on it. And you can call me all the names under the sun for doing so and it won't make a jot of difference, except reflect badly on you.

I never mentioned others members. I was stating a hypothetical scenario which applies to anyone who brings appearance into a discussion or argument, be it someone on social media, in real life, regarding Big Brother, regarding a work dispute, wherever, whatever. Who made you a mod though hun?
I never said Jack isn't fat, but him being fat bears no relevance to how good of a housemate he is, or to his actions inside the house.
Everyone knows that those who insult other's appearances are insecure, so I'm afraid it won't reflect badly on me since I'm condemning such criticism, but instead on the people who are making the comments in the first place. Insulting someone's appearance is never acceptable, it applies to Jack being called fat, it applies to people insulting Ashleigh's acne last year, it applies to people attacking Helen's nose, lips and botox, the list goes on. It's unnecessary, irrelevant, nasty, pathetic and shows people up. That is a fact.

If we were talking about someone being short or tall or ginger etc then you might have a point.
But we are talking about something self inflicted due to an addiction. Jack has a food addiction alongside his gambling addiction. Why can't I judge him on those things?
I certainly didn't attack Ashleigh's acne as I know that is out of her control but there is nothing wrong with judging someone who has had plastic surgery. It tells you something about them.
And you were indeed trying to personally insult me by suggesting I was insecure etc. If you continue then I will report your posts.

If we were talking about someone being short or tall or ginger etc then you might have a point.
But we are talking about something self inflicted due to an addiction. Jack has a food addiction alongside his gambling addiction. Why can't I judge him on those things?
Because he isn't gambling in the house and once again, him being fat bears no relevance to how good of a housemate he is. His actions and what he contributes to the show determines that, not the way he looks or how big he is. If this were a health show or one about losing weight, then by all means discuss how fat people are, but it's a reality show, and it isn't relevant. What contestants on reality shows look like isn't relevant. At all. What they do is. Fact.
I certainly didn't attack Ashleigh's acne as I know that is out of her control but there is nothing wrong with judging someone who has had plastic surgery. It tells you something about them.
Yes, it tells you that they're insecure, probably had their appearance mocked and thus convinced themselves they needed to do something about it. And then people still insult them, making the problem worse. Funny that, isn't it?
And you were indeed trying to personally insult me by suggesting I was insecure etc. If you continue then I will report your posts.
People who mock other's appearances are insecure, it is a well known and established fact, not an opinion or an insult. You haven't actually mocked Jack's appearance yet so I haven't done anything of the sort, but hey...if the shoe fits.
Oh no! Don't report some text on a Big Brother forum on a screen in front of me to some people I'll never meet! How scary! I'm so frightened :bawling:
