Ok the latest storylines and outsider info seems to be a great thing for the short term, but it is killing off any future trust in the ethos of what we all know as BB.

1. Nominations are tampered with all the time now
2. Outsider info creeps in via bb all the time
3. Profanity, bullying, nudity and game playing is the norm these days
4. BOTS is so biased and Rylan is a negative influence on the show
5. Too many stupid x HM's poking their oars in and the bots audience is crap
6. Emma has become very biased as well and openly slags the show off
7. Live feed is a thing of the past and its not fair to the ethos of the show
8. Contrived evictions a manipulated noms are killing the shows ethos
9. Game players are getting through the selection process to self promote
10. The producers are just not up to the job

However we all must keep an open mind but I fear no matter how much support we give, these prods are laughing at us big time.

Because it isn't as if there was any profanity, nudity or game playing in BB1.

Ultimately it just needs to go back to basics, and producer manipulation needs to stop.

Bang right in one. Can you imagine the storylines if sarah, Harriet and Kieran were in there today instead of Simon, harry and even Marc.

Leave the bloody thing alone you cretins.

Sarah would be sat tossing her hair about
Keiran playing the house mediator
Harriet bitching like hell and kicking off every now and again, or more likely, been ejected by now

Meh

The newbies brought life into the show for me

However I agree there needs to be less manipulation in general. Diary room stuff used to be great, now they are scared to be honest as its nearly always shown. Also nominations need to go back to normal again :bored:

They'll never say anything significant in the diary room because they know it'll just be shown to the housemates at some point in a dramatic montage to try and stir drama.

Personally I agree 100%, but if this was done the show would be taken off the air after a couple of weeks.

Ultimately, it's us the viewers who are to entirely to blame. The old (proper) format wouldn't be watched by viewers today who need instant gratification, and constant confrontation. Hence ratings would fall and the show would be taken off.

There hasn't been as much outside information this year as last year's total mess

Why?

Ultimately, it's us the viewers who are to entirely to blame. The old (proper) format wouldn't be watched by viewers today who need instant gratification, and constant confrontation. Hence ratings would fall and the show would be taken off.

It's true people want instant gratification, but that is another reason why the live coverage is important. When you have people waiting 24 hours to find out what the hell is going on, it just seems like such a sloooow process. People used to know exactly what was going on as it happened, and they tuned in to see how it was all put together on the HL. The forums were busy throughout the day, today, what with 24/7 social media sites, twitter would be the same. And when things did kick off, live, there would be a big buzz about it. There's none of that today.

The live coverage had immediate impact, it was at certain times exciting, and if nothing else it made people care about the housemates. All the desperate stunts and stupid twists don't mean a thing if you don't care about the people involved, hence the reason they are now relying on housemates who people did once care about. That's the position they're now in.

The basic format of BB, which is 12 - 14 housemates (they put far too many in these days), 24/7 live coverage and nominations/evictions is a good format. But Channel 5 have turned their back on that. and in actual fact, the moment channel 4 started messing with it, the show started to struggle.
