Without marc entering bb the show would have been soo boring. Seriously the housemates are boring as hell. Marc has entertained and set the house on fire. He has caused divides and arguments amongst other housemates and had brought everyone out there shell. All the others do is bully and brown nose each other. Jack is the worst for this.

He is in my opinion the vilest housemate ever to enter BB so I don't agree with OP

I totally agree with you. Marc has saved the show this year. As for the others, just throw them out on their ar$es and populate the BBH with new, feisty HMs.

I agree.

Like him or not - he has made more effort (and injected more life into the series) than all the other HMs combined.

True say.

They should erect a bronze statue of him outside Channel 5 headquarters. He will singlehandedly revive the series. The guys want to be him and the girls want to be with him. And some of the guys want to be with him.

I might start a poll and ask if people are 100% behind him or 110% behind him.

All ok if you like someone who has obviously been briefed to upset everyone from the get go. Originally it was done somewhat tongue in cheek although some of the crude remarks were difficult to stomach. Since then his insults etc have got nastier and let's face it he has been given numerous advantages over the other housemates. All the producers want now is conflict and personally I don't find a grown man running around in his underpants trying to annoy people by belittling them all the time entertaining. If you look back on the classic BB's there was a lot of laugh until you cry moments. This is what I class as entertainment. Too much outside knowledge, too many tasks giving too much information has ruined the whole concept of BB for me.

I like Marc but you make some good points.

Can you expand what you mean by "has been given numerous advantages over the other housemates" ?

I think he's best when his happy go lucky humour shines through.

I think disagreements can be very entertaining but when it becomes a shouting match it loses it's appeal.

Take the Jade Marc "Did someone get a warning ?" incident.
Marc says "Don't be so nosy !"

Funny without being a war of words.

Same thing for Simon "What are you going to do about it ?"

Numerous advantages over the original housemates as he came into the process late knowing exactly how each housemate was perceived on the outside. I think that at that time he was obviously briefed to go in and wind them all up probably in the knowledge he would be protected in the process. He has been protected from eviction with the latest twist and then gets to find out how he is being perceived by the public and then has the added advantage of being able to watch them. I am just awaiting how he will be protected from any future nominations and subsequent evictions.

Oh yeah I forgot about all that

Well in the interests of balance...

You could say he went in there against an established clique.

Does he really know the public mood when it was a fake eviction ?
Some have said it could even be his downfall if he thinks the public like his behaviour.

How much he's used it all to his advantage I'm not sure.
But yeah, will he be protected until the final ? It's a good point.

Marc sucks sorry. I don't understand why people say he 'saved' the show when there were fights and meltdowns before 4 In 4 Out, along with interesting relationships developing

I don't find him entertaining either. His douchy misogynistic 'banter' doesn't amuse me.

Whatever anyone thinks about Marc he DID wake up that house. If he left it would revert to the snoozefest BB. They would sleep til noon, get up, eat, sunbathe and snooze some more, eat and unless BB provided some entertainment in the form of a party they would stagger to bed around 11 and sleep some more.
Then you would end up with the three most boring housemates ever, Chloe, Jack and Danny.
Even before the 4 x 4 eviuction it was the most boring BB to date.

no he didn't, all he did was unite the house against him and now the dynamics aren't going to change until he's evicted. He made it static if anything

Bollocks.

It's true tho. Before Marc there were interesting relationships developing and if Marc never entered I'm sure they would have developed more and we would have had a dynamic house with relationships changing a lot (like in BB14). All Marc did was provide someone for the old housemates to unite against and stifle the house dynamics.

The thing I have loved most over the years of watching BB is seeing the relationships develop over the weeks/months & how they play out.
Marc **** all over this with his disgusting attention seeking personality.
Marc has not saved this show for me but ruined it.
If he had come in with the originals at the start of the series he would have been gone by now just like if Helen had not had her immunity pass she would have been evicted in the first three weeks.
I'm tired of watching the very worst of people get air time over other HM's whom if they were given the proper chance & not been subject to fake or mass evictions & BB's constant playing with the format-we would actually get to know properly.

Since when did marc bully anyone? He stood up for Simon knowing full well he's not popular on the outside. Jack was the biggest bully but now marc is back, Simon stands up for himself. I don't particularly like Simon but I thought it was sweet when marc told him you got me now. Marc is completely opposite of a bully.

Marc has single-handedly saved the BB franchise! This series was so lame it was in danger of bringing about a permanent switch off from viewers. Cue the producers pressing the nuclear button and 4 new HMs of whom only Marc has been a sucess. He's given viewers what they want-cringetastic car crash TV.

Bello can naff off-he won the show waltzing around after "Samanda" making a total prat of himself.Im even starting to like Helen for giving this shower a kick up the jacksy!

There is a lot of truth in this post. Personally, BB is all about the casting, get that right and the show has its own life and can go in amazing and surprising directions. Fill it with fame hungry fodder, that are 100% camera aware, and the only way to bring excitement to the show is by creating confrontation, adding unnatural twists etc. Correct casting pure and simple is the only way to create a BB experience that will reward the viewer.

I like Marc, and would like him to go to the end. However Im not so sure that he will win after this weeks events. He seems to have lost his cheeky chap side, which is what was begining to emerge. Hopefully he will get it back once Helen & co have gone.
I dont mind a bit of confrontation, but mixed in with a few good belly laughs. He is in danger of getting to big for his boots.

Pete.
