View Full Version : Would you prefer more of an IAC voting system?

Basically, are you happy with the way things are currently (nom twists/meddling from production), or would you be happy with them trying an IAC type voting system (in which each week the entire house is up for eviction with the housemate with the least votes to save leaving)?
It'd see the end of nominations but obviously noms are such a non-thing now (with only one normal set of nominations so far this series)

I'd like to see this for one year at least, I've always thought that they should have developed this format for UBB.

I've been thinking this, I think it would be a good idea, also I'd like VTS back

No, the reason I'm tiring of the show atm is because they insist on messing around with the nominations so much. If they flat-out abandoned them altogether, that would probably be the last straw for me.
In a series of BBAU, for the first half of the series they had a public vote with the bottom three being the week's nominations, and then the housemates had to do an eviction vote (so, pretty much the regular format reversed). If they were going to abandon nominations in favour of the public vote, I'd only be okay with this, but even then I wouldn't love it because I just want nominations.

I've thought for a while now they should do something like this, but instead of it being singular weekly votes, have it as a rolling vote that continues throughout the series and maybe you could have leaderboard updates each week (not revealed to the house, but to the viewers). It'd make it more of a competition between fans then and I think it'd generate a lot of revenue and would of course ensure we got rid of the most dispensable characters first.
Alternatively they could just adopt the superior BBUS format and be done with it. They seem to want drama and gameplay so...
No. They should just go back to housemates nominating in secret in the diary room every week. Enough of the twists.

I wouldn't mind if everyone was up as long as at least half the house each week could compete for immunity individually each week. I don't think having it all be on the public would really work because ensuring you're not up for eviction is a part of the game.

The IAC eviction process is the worst thing about the show. Anything but that.

Now that normal noms are non existent in the main, I would prefer to see all the housemates up for eviction each week and the public voting as to that each week.
There could still be a noms process in that they nominate who should not face the eviction vote each week, and the one that tops the vote is safe that week.
For me, the loss of normal noms and evictions is a very bad situation but I don't expect regular normal noms anymore sadly.
So hand it over to the public as to them all every week.
Make it vote to save too rather than evict and they will rake the funds in too, when viewers can then get behind their favourites all through the series.
I'd quite like VTS with them all up for the last 3 weeks - that would get a couple of the dead wood HMs out before the final.

It would work for CBB but not normal BB

They wouldn't dare have such a system. The producers need to have full control over who stays and goes now.

to be honest if it was vote to save, then more often than not the ones the producers want to stay would probably stay anyway, thus leading to less manipulation.
which baffles me actually as why VTE was put back in place a couple of years go :conf::conf:

I dont think it would make a difference but at least it would be fairer than the current system which is 'anything goes'

noms are the big game element to it

Probably money.
People are more eager to vote out housemates they hate or that cause a huge fuss like Helen than vote to save housemates they like.

I disagree, With CBB the idea is that we see another side of celebrities. If we vote out the hated ones at the start then we wouldn't have had the good side of Katie Hopkins last year for instance
