"The Time Warp machine has activated. And would you believe it’s already had a glitch and put Joel’s mum in the house. Can he stay frozen while she tells him how much he’s loved? And it seems he’s not the only housemate she has feelings for..."

Who cares if it's been done before that was awesome and really lovely. Joel's mam is really articulate and has excellent confidence in her speech. You can see where Joel gets it. It was sweet with Marc too. A nice gesture.

I haven't got any issue with tasks like this - they're still very tough on the housemates, having to remain still and not being able to talk to their loved ones.

So much favouritism goes on...just like secret tasks it's the same ones picked all the time.
Let's hope they send a loved one in for each and every one of them.

The reality of it though is that they will probably send someone in to tell Cristian he is boring just in case he didn't hear the other 50 times they have said it :nono:

please explain the nature of the insult.

You take every opportunity you can to insult his mother and it's ridiculous, she's not there to be judged, her son it, concentrate on him.

I love fresh ideas.

It's very difficult for a show like this.

If they keep throwing in fresh ideas, not everyone will be happy, and there's a chance not every fresh idea will work.

Then when they cherry pick some of the old favourites, not everyone will be happy because they will just think BB are going over old ground.

I quite like using some of the old ideas.

It's not really about the task been used before, it's about new faces playing the game and new faces taking on a new task.

Just like most reality shows - I'm a celebrity use the same Bush Tucker Trials, Dancing on Ice used the same routines.

He quoted the insult. You called her mutton mummy insulting the way she chooses to dress in relation to her age. That is an insult. In fact it's double pronged. You get that right? You can understand how a snide comment about her age and appearance is an insult?

Joels mum is very clever, she knows what Marc is like, and then does a bit psychology on Marc by kissing him on the cheek and thanking him for looking after her boy.

Marc looked totally puzzled as to why she said this, but she knows this will align Marc with Joel after the legends leave, this will give Marc at least 1 friend and as Joel is friends with the others he will smooth the ground for Marc, Marc won't pick on Joel because of that motherly kiss......she's still protecting her baby.

Marc brings the worst out in people and therefore she is trying to prevent the worst from Joel.

Not really ?

When Marc returned Joel was straight off the couch to hug and greet him.

Maybe Joel and Nick have some kind of immunity blanket over them.

Starting to think it could be Nikki.

She is one of those Mums that we have seen on the show before who thinks she's a housemate herself and go completely over the top....remember Casey batchelor's mum and the pat butcher impression she

Mark looked a bit puzzled by it like he was trying to figure out exactly how he's been "'looking after her boy"

Definitely a "oh no.....i just couldn't nominate Joel after his orangey mam gave me the emo blackmail mind-grip!"

I thought (and i think Mark did for a second too!) that she was gonna' attempt a quick round of tonsil tennis with Mark! Poor Mark was quivering in his ladies undercrackers.

I agree, and I disagree that he looked confused. Moreso he didn't expect the gesture. It's true that this may reinforce his protection of Joel but Marc has been looking out for him thus far. On his return it was pretty clear that Joel and Simon were his favourites.

Maybe, but this can also be seen as blatant manipulation too. Mark might be expected to think twice now before picking on Joel.

agreed. im amazed she didn't slip him the tongue too....the only ways it may backfire is 1) if marc rebels and gives joel stick or 2) he gets too tight with joel and that may hurt joels chances of winning at the end

I think the person who sticks up to marc may win in the end, ive got a weird feeling jade may emerge from the pack , shes a brian fan who is an enemy or the marc/Helen pairing.....shes one to watch
