BB: Go Back To Basics?

The house next door , ex housemates returning and new housemates coming in are just a few of the most unpopular twists in BB History. All which have been introduced in the last two years to try to top BB5. Which i dont think it has.

Should BB go back to basics and stick to 1 House, 13 housemates and good bb secret tasks. This why BB5 was so popular so why completely change the format for the next years?

Should BB go back to basics. Not boring but go back to classic BB with evil? No stupid twists just BB with good tasks and a whole lot of evil?

Back to basics? Like BB5 with no huge twists or CBB4 with no house next door?

The show would get cancelled if it went back to basics. Didn't they try that for Big Brother 4? That was terrible. To keep viewers hooked now-a-days they need to add twists and keep it more as a game.

You contradicted yourself. The basic Big Brother is not evil, its just about people living together. If you want Big Brother to be evil, then you don't want it to go back to basics.

Big Brother 7 was out of order with every single thing being a twist but if they include a couple of twists this year then it will be guaranteed they will get more ratings and less complaints

I do have to say that twist was so depressing not only for the housemates but also for the vieweres unless it was just me I shared the housemates miserablness if thats even a word but you get me

i agree its about people living together, but if it was back to basic for the full summer, no cunning twists or suprises, then big brother would be quite boring. thats why they spiced things up a bit in big brother 5

The last great series of BB was BB5. I think there have just been far too many twists in the later series. The program makers are starting to look desperate to keep coming up with new ideas. There's no need for it though; if they get the right housemates, they could go back to basics and it would be brilliant.

I most definately think they need to tone down the twists, but I don't think going back to basics is the right approach. Like you said, I think BB5 had the best balance, but that was not a "basic" Big Brother series. You guys should really be saying less twists rather than back to basics, because they are two different things.

for a great series they need housemates that make the right chemistry together (good or bad)

and only a FEW twists that don't go over the top. too many twists leaves the housemates and the veiwers confused

I don't think the twists need to be stopped completely just cut down a bit, unfortunately though the producers just seem to get so carried away i can only see things getting worse.

they tried that with BB4 with normal housemates and no exciting twists and it was a disaster. We love the contraversial twists, the freaks and everything else that makes BB what it is!

I really reckon it should go back to basics. Everyone is guessing the twist before it happens, the evictions are hardly surprising anymore.

Best surprise eviction was Stu's in BB5 :).:thumbs:

I think going right back to the start with no twists or tricks would be great. Too many twists and tricks have ruined what we loved about bb.

BB4 did have twists - Cameron going to off to Africa was a HUGE twist. It was the housemates that let down BB4. BB1 and BB2 didn't have ridiculous twists, and they were fab.

The Uk one is the most popular around the world with its twists, a back to basic season like BB4 will be catastrophic !!!
