Marc is so transparent.

Now that Victor informed him Helen's stewardship has rendered him a knob, post being popular. Marc has resulted to the make gullible women go "ahhhh, he's not so bad, he has a heart of gold underneath. He's really a sweetie, awwww. We had him all wrong, wow he was so sweet with Chloe, crying in DR" so calculating. Only a muppet will fall for that.

Backtracking as I predicted....very transparent. Opting out of face to face tonight by Mr Opinionated...Very transparent..
He has had an insight of being a possible winner and now realised he has probably ruined his chances...now he has turned into the Fake housemate he has pulled everyone else up on..:joker:

He's everything I hate in a housemate.

Conor and Danell have a new friend.

i don't think it is an act. he is a nice guy underneath. you can see how happy he gets whenever anyone says something nice about him, he so wants to be liked. but isn't used to it

For someone who wants to be liked, he has a strange way of going about it

yeh it is strange, but i think he's so used to being disliked that he pisses people off coz he's like 'they won't like me anyway'

i know this because i'm like that. i'm nothing like Marc but a lot of people don't like me when they first meet me. so i don't make too much effort with them, and i'm a bit weirded out at first when people actually like me

Have to agree. You really see him light up and get emotional at any kind comment even though he tries to hide it.

Coming where Mark is from and being as bookish as he must be for his level of intelligence he'll have built up a lot of walls to deal with slagging. As Cookiemonster said, he's used to being disliked so his defense is to pretend he doesn't want to be.

That's not really the case, people are just seeing him for what he is

Nah, whatever he does, hes going to be slagged. Come on...if he keeps up the nice guy thing, hes acting. If he keeps going how he is, hers a bully. If he goes quiet, hes fake, etc etc.

There is a good guy underneath all that cumbucket rubbish. You could tell by his reaction to his cheers and stuff.

I know what you are saying and that's why I grew to like him before The bunker. But he got really nasty again...the ones he befriended he put up (apart from Harry)...Sam and Jack didn't. Which makes me believe it was a tactical vote influenced by Helen because she wants him to win.
The people he likes have gone up...that's what's so hypocritical.

Imo that's been happening with Cristian (people moaning about him being boring and then as soon as he starts having air time people moan about him being a nob lmao) but not Marc, people that disliked him started to like him when he showed his soft side, then he turned nasty with Helen and those people dislike him again.

Definitely

I think the problem is really..by this point most people have their faves and ones they don't like already. If you like someone, you are more likely to take something they do in a good way. If you dislike someone, everything they do seems to be bad

People don't like admitting they're wrong and they don't like change. If you hate someone and they stop being worth your hatred it's easier to twist their changes to reinforce your opinion than it is to change your mind. The same goes for the reverse. If you like someone you'll forgive them of more.
