It is by far the messiest production wise & twists.

But has it been the worst Big Brother series for you so far?

Definitely not the worst in terms of quality, but in terms of production it's probably the messiest, most embarrassing thing ever overseen in the history of television. And that's not even an exaggeration. Like, they are literally making up this series day by day.

No, it still beats BB15 (the worst BB imo)

Yes, for me now, really had enough of all these previous housemates.
This has descended into total farce.

The past housemates completely taking over and overshadowing the original housemates.
Awful,just really awful.

On par with last year for me.
Passes,Quad evictions,Nom twists every week.
The decline is almost at its peak,We are pretty much at rock bottom.

Ever since 4 in: 4 out, it's been on par with BB15 for me. However, I'll still take the first two weeks of this series over the entire of BB15 any day.

I get the impression bb16 is becoming a parody of bb15 which can't be a good thing. bb16 still edges it for me but we'll see.

It's the worst ever by far. I didn't think it could get worse than last year and I genuinely thought they would make improvements this year.

The housemates that were saved from or survived the 4in4out twist have now been reduced to extras on a show that has become about housemates from 7 or 8 years ago and the winner of last year's.

From the first series when they decided to pay Pamela Anderson God knows what to pretend to live in the house for a few days rather than have the 24/7 live coverage they've been heading in this direction ever since.

I remember actually laughing at Steven last year. Rooting for Chris, Ashleigh and Christopher at certain points. I was genuinely involved regardless of whether I liked the twists and all the manipulation. Depressing though the ending was, I felt something.

I could not care less about any of the originals or newbies at this point. Even Marc has been reduced to walk on part in this farce.

It is a huge steaming pile of ****e.

But I actually have to watch now to see how ridiculous it gets. It is reaching the point where it is so bad it's good.

I agree. It has become fascinating at this point. I am waiting to see if anyone eventually snaps and smashes the house up, if producers are going to get fired, if the show is going to get axed etc.

Wouldn't surprise me if originals walked. I would have walked as soon as Helen came in.

What they have done is so bizarre that it must be a deliberate attempt to kill the show. The original mix of housemates was good. Sarah and Harriet were starting to give us natural drama. Then **** got unreal.

damn it seems like legend housemate might win this yr big brother which is sad cause I want a original housemate to win.the legends had there shine already.its kinda of waste of this season if the L wins

Thing is, if the legends are allowed to win then Brian will walk it by a country mile. So even that would be a predictable borefest.

They must just be completely desperate. Just looking at the overnight viewing figures each day and trying to come up with something else. It must be one long crisis meeting for them now.

What are the recent figures?

ThriceShy
19-06-2015, 01:55 AM
What amuses me is that there are still fans who claim that none of the programme is staged and to say so is a conspiracy theory.

Just look at this weekend.....it is being set up as a showdown between 2 ex-housemates who aren't even meant to be in this series! If that isn't staged then I don't know what is.

The sad thing is that even that will probably be a flop. I bet they don't even really argue.

Beetlejuice

Joel asking Helen who she would least like to live with out of past housemates and her answering Aisleyne (who she would spit in the face of apparently) cannot be a coincidence.

Joel asking Helen who she would least like to live with out of past housemates and her answering Aisleyne (who she would spit in the face of apparently) cannot be a coincidence.

The fact he asked it is odd. I have been saying for weeks that the producers are giving them starting points for conversations and then saying "and....action!"

You can tell that the questions aren't natural. Someone asked Brian the other day "So, brian, how would you feel about that?" and it just looked a bizarre forced question.

Macie Lightfoot
19-06-2015, 03:11 AM
yeah it's atrocious and a joke. Like, we all thought last year just happened to be a disaster by chance but then to find out that the producers are actively seeking that? Yikes. It's like a self-parody, except parodies usually have some humor to them.

ThriceShy
19-06-2015, 03:23 AM
It simply isn't big brother any more and it looks like the producers have given up even pretending it is.

No normal noms, no normal evictions, outside contact every single day, housemates evicted without being nominated, old housemates thrown in, everything edited in such a way that all conversations are navel-gazing and clearly started by the producers.

What is this freakshow?

I really think they have killed it now. I doubt civilian BB will be back.

Gusto Brunt
19-06-2015, 03:23 AM
Not the worst but I agree the messiest.

It's like they've gone to so many extremes this series, where do they go next year?

Back to basics? BB4 next year?

It's not the worst as such although like other people have said its the messiest. Far too much manipulation, it's almost become a parody of its former self.

I'm trying to stick though it although I'm giving up. There's a show getting with the times then there's this...

Deffo not the worst BB for those that have been watching since the beginning of BB BB4 will always haunt me how on earth Cameron won Big Brother I will never know - most exciting thing that happened that series was him turning the page in his bible! *yawn*

If it had not been for Jon Tickle bringing the show a small amount of fun that is all that saved it!

BB4 even coma patients would have woken up just so they could run away from the awful show

It's not been left to run any course. Far too much manipulation and fixing of the nominations and certain housemates being blatantly favoured over others. To be honest if Cristian goes tonight for the first time ever I will be giving up on it and I have Been an avid viewer since BB1.

Their just trying to do too much and that's not what people want. I'd rather have less twists during a series and let things pan out with originals (Obviously a couple of new HMs later on always keeps it interesting). It's always been done in the past and we have had good series.

How can you speak for everyone when you say it's not what people want?

I've been loving this series and I'm thankful that they are willing to try new things, I'm thankful that they have lots of unexpected twists. I think it's making the show much more entertain.

It's hard for me to judge cos I only started watching last year but I've watched a couple of C4 series on Youtube. I think I preferred BB15 tbh. Although it didn't feel like it at the time, the drama did actually flow very naturally compared to this series, where it seems they've had to beat the sh*t out of it through tasks and twists to ensure conflict. Like, the only conflict has been through Helen and Marc.

TomC
19-06-2015, 12:19 PM
I'm still enjoying it through :D

Also, there really are too many twists this year. If you compare the first five weeks' twists of last year with this year, I'd take last year. Apart from the girls being given immunity in Week 4, the twists were very well thought-out and interesting last year, such as the final pass, killer nom, Chris' secret noms, Toya's twist. This year apart from the Day 1 and 4 twists, they've all seemed to be last minute whims, and flipping the noms on Day 16 was just downright unfair.

Surely if they wanted to kill off the show they wouldn't, round up old housemates and put them in there. Or try and re-vamp the show by picking off 4 and replacing them.

Maybe my understanding of a producer giving up on a show is wrong. I would have thought if they weren't interested they would just let it ride out and not bother trying anything new.

Im beginnning to hate it.

Why could they just not leave it alone? They didnt want Jade evicted - after the Nick thing - but getting rid of Sarah and Harriet?? Was maddness - they could have put new HMs in without taking any out -

The 'final pass' was probably the single worst thing that's ever happened in the history of BB. It (along with some extremely favourable editing) pretty much handed Helen over £100 grand on a silver platter! How could BB ever be taken seriously again after that debacle!

I can't say I've ever hated a show, but generally once I start not enjoying it I give it up and move onto another a show. If this really is upsetting you, it's probably better you give up now.

I get the very opposite impression, I think by the twists and the changes they've made this year, they are trying harder to make it more fun for the viewers.

The program has just become so random, plenty of half baked ideas thrown around with no structure ect. I miss the days when housemates had no outside influence and could nominate without "twists".

As far as the worst? BB4 is still my own worst BB experience, but i did miss last years (the only one i didnt bother with)

TomC
19-06-2015, 04:37 PM
They really weren't.

It's a matter of opinion.

Although the final pass was controversial, it brought a dynamic to the house we'd never seen before and I think that is a good watch and the killer nom did a similar thing.

Week 2 was also very interesting with the secret noms and the paranoia that ensued.

Week 3 had a good twist that although was over complicated, was explained from the start and Toya being overthrown was good shock value.

Also, bar the killer noms, all nominations were secret until Week 8. I definitely think the twists were good in the first 5 weeks of BB15.

I don't really appreciate your tone tbh btw.

Quite. She would have been gone in week 3 or 4, never to be heard of again. But in the final week, as predictable many reality show fans went with the purile vote.

Those who hated her for ages, switched. Many here, mention no names, did so.

Couldn't agree more.
After watching BB15 I felt like I needed a good shower to wash away all of this nastiness - but this year I'm just staring at the tv rolling my eyes at all of this structured synthetic drama to finish.

4in4out killed it - no depth, no storyline, nothing, just "oh! look how marc is winding then up, oh how funny and entertaining! not." endlessly repeated.
When the series started I had high hopes, it seemed like it's going to be a good one, but then it all went downhill - my 2nd greatest disappointment by far from BB (Helen winning is 1st).
I wish any of the original hms win this show, even the boring ones - C5 needs to be ruined for their pathetic twist obsession.
