I've thought long and hard about this - well about five minutes actually.
My OH suggested I gave up ...... (well I'll leave you to guess his suggestion but he has absolutely NO CHANCE of that. I like my obsession and I'm sticking with it)
Actually think I'll give up putting off things I dont want to do. I have a list an arm and a half long. My house will look like a show home at the end of Lent.

This Lent:
Well, until about 2pm I gave up cheese sandwiches
I am still holding strong on alcohol, sex drugs and rock and roll to date, but giving up Paul Clarke was a non starter really.......
Now, own up HOW CUTE??????

I give up "giving up things for Lent" for Lent
BTW scripturally there is no authority for Lent, so we do not recognise it.:nono:

I know Sticks, and I am not a practising anything, but a few days in the virtual wildnerness of abstinence never did anyone any harm. Apparently.
And I am unanimous in this!

Even if you do not intend to do it for its religious purpose a lot of my friends are still sacrificing things because it will do them good - giving up chocolate might make you lose some weight. Its a good excuse if you couldnt stick the New Years Resolution.:spin2:

I'm giving up chocolate for Lent as I'm becoming addicted to the stuff.
Wish me luck, everyone. :wavey:
