Endemol Shine is already accepting applications for the first series of Big Brother Türkiye, which will begin later this summer and run for fifteen weeks. Star will air a one-hour highlights episodes every night in primetime, with three-hour live evictions at weekends.

Fifteen weeks is a length we need to adopt :clap1: but three hours?! THREE HOURS?!

This proves that the BB format is still so strong it's just the UK version that is tired

Even 13 weeks for BB7 was way too much and I LOVED that series.

With the current state of the show that would actually be akin to torture.

13 weeks was the perfect length :nono: but it always annoyed me how we got so close to 100 days but they'd never push it that extra bit

Oh I know, isn't the closest stupidly close like 97 days?

BB8 was the longest at 94, just one more week needed for Marcus to say 'Day 100'

Thirteen weeks is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too long for a show that airs episodes daily. Going back and watching BB7-10 were the biggest chores. 9-10 weeks is the perfect length. Like, BB13 is amazing but if they extended it to thirteen weeks it would've gone to **** by the end without Deana.

^ I thought about that recently actually, how if you're watching it back it must be annoying. 30 episodes of BBUS is more than enough so I've no idea how people do 70 - 90 of BBUK. Even 14/15 of Survivor is enough for me

But when it plays out live, it's different and they don't drag in the same way. 7 through 10 were all perfectly reasonable lengths for me when watching

They have guts. I remember years ago there was that thing in Turkey about a fake Big Brother house that two men set up to watch girls get naked. :umm2:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/turkey/6176656/Turkish-women-in-fake-Big-Brother-were-too-afraid-to-leave-house.html

I hope it doesn't scare people.

arab countries tried it once back in 2004, but was banned because having a house with both strange men and women living together is a taboo overthere, and most of the women did not cover there faces or other parts of their bodies, it only lasted 11 days because its very conservative in the middle east, I don't think it will last in turkey that long because turks see everything black and white in todays world still, and do not forget that turkey is an islamic country, and there familes do not want there children having sex before marriage.

Seems they are using YouTube for the 24/7 feeds. They are offering two live cameras.

Just goes to show doesn't it, Channel 5 originally saying it was "technically not feasible" to offer a 24/7 feed and the Turks have managed it with very little cost involved.

Their studio is interesting, it's like a combination of Australia, UK and USA. Their graphics have clearly been inspired by Power Trip as well.
