View Full Version : Is the female HM cull a belated reaction to last years controversial outcome?

My question: Do you think that the voters are turning against confident female housemates this year as a reaction to Helen winning last year?

I'm curious to know if people think there is a link or if you think it's just coincidence that most of the evictees this series have been confident women. It's also interesting that the bookies favourite female is Chloe (possible the favourite of all the HM's, I'm not sure on the current betting odds), who is arguably the most different to Helen out of all the women this year. I wonder if the evictees so far would have been the same had last year not happened?

(This isn't an anti-helen thread by the way so hoping it doesn't descend into that lol, but whether you like her not, it's undeniable that there was and still is a huge anti-helen feeling and strong negative reaction to her winning so it's hard not to imagine that it might impact future voting patterns and judgements of housemates who may share similar traits)

Yeah, I'm voting off all the females because Helen won. Once they're gone, I'm moving on to brunettes

Her male clone being a favourite this year, so no, lesson not learnt.

...yes, because if there's any lesson learned from Helen winning whatsoever, it's that there are too many women on this show.

Im female - and I love it when females win!!

I hate it when men that treat women terribly win - or arrogant weirdos win.

I honestly go by character not gender. I think everyone does -

But who the public evicts is so crazy now because nominations are so confused no one seems to have the memory of what people have even done or not done in the house. Its a confusing mess and you have to watch very closely to see whats going. The editing is just so dire - it cant be a mistake? its a shambles
