Why does Marc seem so desperate for Danny's friendship/validation ?

Hey everyone first post on here had to sign up as this series was frustrating me and had to make things known:laugh:
Anyway it's very clear that Danny has a problem with Marc, yet instead of recognising this he continues to want to gain Danny's friendship why is this. Perhaps as a child (I'm just speculating) he was a nerd in school and Danny reminds him of the cool kids he always wanted to be friends with ?

I think that Marc is emotionally mature enough to separate friendship from 'the game' and the emotions that the game causes, and he (unfortunately) expects the same ability from those he spars with. I don't think he really dislikes Danny/Cristian, but clearly they have shown to be far more emotional and cannot separate 'Big Brother' from 'real life'.

Danny took him on after the first night - since then Mark has been semi-respectful to him.

Marc wants to 100% dominate Danny, he's done this up to a point, but Danny is the one the HMs (bar Joel) look up to. Also he wants Danny to be his bitch.

he likes danny..he incorrectly (in my opinion) considers him genuine. but he isn't desperate by any means..he isn't altering his behavior to please danny..or kissing his bum.. so it appears to me you are just one of those people who will create anything to try to make marc look bad

Yh of course I want to make my favourite housemate look bad..... Even though marc is my favourite housemate that doesn't mean I can't criticise him as many rightly do. I do agree he isn't kissing his ass and that danny isn't genuine, so I don't see why he continues to waste breath on someone who has been very inconsistent with him.
