I think it's dawned on him he chose the 'wrong camp'...and doesn't know how to get out of it.

I think that maybe his Mum thanking Marc in that task has made Joel think that he should make himself closer to him? I can't think of another explanation for the nice boy befriending an intimidating horrid little ****

It must be pretty uncomfortable in there to be fair so he's likely to be a bit affected by all the drama.

He is a sly little twat that completely stitched Aaron up. Sarah was onto him and got evicted the next day in 4in4out. Nobody mentioned it since.

I agree with you and neither do I, he just gets around everyone as he explained in the diary room on bbbots tonight.
I don't get this near obsession as judging people ion who they spend time with or talk to.
I will talk to anyone and mix with anyone,it does not in any way mean I have cooled to any of my closer friends, or that I think more or less of anyone I come into contact with that I come to like being with for any reason.
This, I don't like Joel because he is in the wrong group is irritating, who are we to tell Joel or anyone else who they can or should only talk to or be with.

Think he's just sick of all the drama. None of the normal housemates looked too chuffed tonight tbh

Would you talk to and mix with someone who you had witnessed calling someone a murderer and rapist, and who you had witnessed calling an anorexic woman a "skinny little ****"?

They must be pretty bemused now. They are just like the extras in TOWIE. There is virtually no point to them except to give the producers a frame on which to pin all these staged legend arguments.

Chosen the wrong camp? Wasn't that the problem he had with Aaron?

He loved trying to put people on the spot with his pathetic 'I wanna be the next Jeremy Paxman' interviews. With his mates all behind him he tried to put Marc in his place..
Haven't seen him pull that card on Helen...he has just been a nodding dog in her camp. When have we seen him hanging out with the others of late?..sitting in the smoking area all the time with Helen Marc and Simon...no bath times with Nick anymore...??

I judge people as to how they are with me, I would pull someone up on that and likely really argue as to it too.
I have, when at UNI where I heard some of the most bizarre things people said to and about others,
They didn't actually mean to hurt the other person all the time but it was things said in really heated anger.
I would let them know I disagreed if asked for my opinion.
Just as I would be the same with anyone who called someone pond scum too as Brian did.
However, get it right please, she did not call Brian a rapist/murderer, she said he 'looked' like one when he was angry and he does look very intimidating when angry.
Her comment to Nikki was wrong and inappropriate but so have been comments from Nikki as to her.
One is no better than the other really.
So yes in answer to your question which you ask which is in effect only about Helen from the quotes you use and this is actually a thread about Joel.
Yes I would talk to Helen, I would have a coffee or a drink with her.
If I was housemate on BB,I would regardless of what I thought of others in there too, also talk to and mix with all of them, that is if all or any wanted me to.
Having to live with them 24 hours a day every day.
Also this thread says, Joel looked green around the gills, not so. He looked extremely bemused and a bit disappointed more likely as to another housemate coming in that is supposed to be a legend, who ended up only helping to stir up more arguing and brought more bad vibes to the house.

That would be the added bonus of evicting Joel. He could take his pushy mum with him. She is really not doing him any favours. Such an annoying woman.

Nope, I am trying to find something positive about him and failing.
What we in my day called an arse creeper.

I don't think you can say he's in the 'wrong camp', he's in whichever camp he feels like he wants to be. If that's team evil so be it.

was i the only one seeing him slithering into the bedroom to marc and helen after her disgusting outburst to Brian. this guy is not a nice person..and his mother definitely wants into the limelight. yuk
He is only 19 and not very street wise.Appears old head on young shoulders and during the early weeks I liked him on balance but increasingly I find his over considered rather pompous interactions to be irritating.Mum said she coached him on the dancing and I wonder if between them they worked out his whole game plan for winning. They may have attempted to cover every scenario and what his response's should be but did not anticipate the legends thing so Joel has had to work this one on his own and imo has got it wrong.
I think he will survive tonights eviction but has now blown what was a decent chance of winning.

I really believe his own mum has killed his hope of winning by talking to Marc. Joel switched after that.

He is out of his depth, now would be the time to get a back bone but I don't think he will somehow?
