Miss England asked to join Big Brother

Oxford's Miss England winner Eleanor Glynn has been asked if she wants to join Jade Goody and the other housemates on Celebrity Big Brother.

And the response from the 20-year-old, from Sandford, was a resounding "yes".

Miss England's manager Angie Beasley has revealed a Channel 4 producer contacted her on Monday to see if Miss Glynn wanted to go into the house.

Now, after accepting the invitation, Miss Glynn is waiting to hear whether she will actually be given the chance to enter the house.

I can't believe this is true... I mean an unknown model to go into the house at this late stage. Why? Surely someone trying to get publicity for themselves by linking her name to Big Brother.

Or are they linked to one of the current housemates? The only other explanation I can think of. :conf:

Imagine the friction.

The girls (Jade,Jo,Danielle,Jack) have already singled out Shilpa and are trying to bully her, now with another beauty contest winner, theres going to be a 'tug of war' to win her favour, which in turn will lead to arguments.

These producers have no regard for standards. Its sad.

I hope this new piece of poontang gets her kit off though.

I think this is crazy - have the producers of the program lost their marbles?!

Oh come on. The amount of morons desperate to work in television, do you honestly think Endemol could hire a team that could do the job properly. At first BigBro used to be run by people who knew what they were doing, but now that the concept is old, people will have probably moved on to more interesting projects, leaving endemol to employ morons who dont know what to do with a format that is full of potential.

There arnt many things you need to do to the show, as the premise itself is what gets people watching, but rather than make intelligent tweaks to the format, the makers just come up with desperately extravagant ideas, thinking they are being important. This Goody thing has just been tiresome and a few people need sacking.

I just hope they can get their act together and start nurturing the monster (BigBro) they have created, rather than mindlessly abusing it.

Yes, you're absolutely right. I don't know why I still get surprised that they are coming up with ever more ridiculous ideas.
