"Ordinary Boys frontman Samuel Preston has walked out of a recording of BBC Two pop quiz Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
The singer, 24, took exception when host Simon Amstell read extracts from an autobiography written by his wife, Big Brother winner Chantelle Houghton.
"Preston just stormed off," said a spokeswoman for the show. "He literally walked out of the building."
Co-host Bill Bailey picked a member of the audience to take Preston's place for the remainder of the recording."

love that show and he should have been ready for something like that because its that sort of show
Yeah, I posted that in the Big Brother General section - then realised it belonged here. Sorry, but I think he's a right plank for doing that. He must have watched the show, so he should know what to expect. Bigger stars than him and his wife have happily had the mick taken out of them.
Have to say though, it will be interesting to watch that episode!

God he's such a loser. His band are awful, and now he thinks he's some big shot. What an embarrassment to guitars.

but if he had seen the show before, he should have known exactly what to expect. even if he had not seen the show, he still should know what to expect. I think he acted like a spoilt little brat.
Oh, and bb4eva - there's no need to apologise...I posted in the wrong section!

If I was sticking up for my wife, I wouldnt do it by running away. It shows a lack of character. Id stay and defend her honour like a man.
True. Storming off is like having a child's tantrum.

I'm with you too Laura.
Like he said
'say what you like about me, but don't say anything about my wife'
He did say he'd leave unless they stopped. But the matter was pushed. He was well within his rights.

I think it was abit childish. He has been on the show before and should know that everything is light hearted and should be taking with a picnch of salt.
But, if he did want to defend her then he should have stayed there and defended her - Walking out is just stupid diva-like behaviour.

Good on him.
Everyone reacts in different ways, not fair to call him 'childish' though. I hardly call walking out of a studio, childish. How many children get on that programme anyway:bigsmile:

I didn't call the specific act of walking out of a studio childish. I said storming off is childish. Look - if you go on Buzzcocks, you expect to have the mick taken out of you - everybody knows that, and he should have known that however much he declares himself a serious musician, he is best known for marrying Chantelle. If he couldn't see that they would take the mick for that, he must be stupid - and if he didn't want them to say things like that, he shouldn't have gone on the show in the first place.

He walked because he's a phoney.
He couldnt sit and defend Chantelle because he didnt have the words to do it. If he was genuine, he would have sat there all night long and defended her honour, no matter how long it took. His heart could have spoken for him. After all, he likes to promote himself as a professional lyricist.
The fact is, they showed him up for the phoney he is, and he sneaked off in embarassment.
I couldn't agree with you more there Hitman!! Walking storming whatever he did just goes to show that he is a silly no man he is that likes to dish it out but cannot clearly take what is obviously a few jokes what that show is mainly based on.
Such a hypercrite as well as I have read countless interviews of him dissing people (supposedly he is joking in these ) yet when the tables are turned he does as some have already said have what appears to be a childish tantrum.
He really should take a good look in the mirror as he ain't as perfect or untouchable as he likes to believe he is!!!

But Ruth thats the thing! Like Lynz he wouldn't care if they mocking him! It was the fact that they were mocking his wife! I can see it being childish if they were mocking him. But they weren't they mocking the person he loves and that just isn't fair!

Why he walked:
http://www.metro.co.uk/fame/article.html?in_article_id=32680&in_page_id=7&in_a_source=
I love this bit He added: "She (Chantelle) thought it was funny and quite sweet. She was really touched, actually."
But he should have known what to expect. He's not averse to saying uncomplimentary things about other people, so he should expect it.
And Chrizzle - please don't think I'm having a go at you, because I'm not - but you said that you lost respect for Ken Russell for walking off CBB - so what's the difference?
I agree Ruth he is a hypercrite he can dish it out but isn't man enough to take it and as for saying he was gonna punch Simon well that has made me chuckle!! Poor man is deluded imo.
It ain't like they were saying anything remotely bad about Chantelle from the sounds of it just having a laugh and taking the mick about what that show is based on partly and there was some saying Preston was supposed to have a brilliant sense of humour (clearly NOT:conf2:)
