View Full Version : Is it worse to say someone "LOOKS" like a murderer, or threaten to attempt murder?

Who is worse?
Helen saying that the twitching, fuming face of Brian made him LOOK like a murderer?
Or
Danny threatening to shove a glass into Marc's face, potentially killing him, and certainly disfiguring him for life?

Exactly! How ridiculous is it that people think Helen is worse?!?! Danny should go to hell.

I mean.. To answer your question, it is worse to threaten to attempt murder..
But if we're talking about Helen the other night or Danny tonight (which I presume you are) Then they were both bad...
Although we saw all of Dannys argument and only an edited down version of Helens antagonising so logic tells me that Helen was worse because relentless and constant bullying is worse than a 10 second aggressive spurt. I don't think anybody is able to answer without seeing both clips in full though.

Unless Helen threatened physical violence I think its clear cut no matter what was edited.
Name calling is not even in the same league as threatening to physically harm someone. If you call someone a name the police can't arrest you, however they can in the case of a violent threat.

You're excusing someone threatening to stab another housemate by saying that Helen had a bad edit?
I don't like to break it to you, but Danny was shown threatening to shove a glass in Marc's face. No amount of Helen's editing changed that.
How does a bad edit for Helen change the fact that Danny (potentially) threatened to attempt to murder Marc?

I don't actually remember Danny saying that? and BB certainly didn't read it back to him? Cant be bothered to check but are you sure you aren't confusing this with something to do with a slap?

Does it upset you that Danny is still the clear favourite to win BB then. I understand. But it must show that the rest are more useless. Don't you think?

You do realise that Ofcom can't make any executive production decisions don't you? All complaining to Ofcom does is increase the likelihood of incidents like this being covered up, because they monitor and control what can and cannot be broadcast.
If you have an issue with the way the show is produced or incidents like that, complain directly to Endemol or C5.
That goes for anyone who wants to complain. Ofcom complaints are futile and are actually detrimental to the shows integrity.

With every day that passes, Danny becomes more likely to win this series to be honest. Sadly.
Although actually he's been less of a bore recently so

Clearly its the other way round, C5 would have more to gain with a cover up where as Ofcom would just investigate without an hidden agenda.

You are correct that BB didn't read it back to him. Shame on the cowards who didn't want to eject the hero.

Not really, incidents like this are exactly what the producers want. Yes they have to warn the people involved, but any ~drama~ or incidents which are likely to cause controversy or just get some press attention are good for the show and things that they, and Channel 5, will absolutely want to broadcast.
The more people that complain to Ofcom, the more likely it is we'll have another Justin Waggott incident on our hands where it's covered up since they'll rule that the things they are showing are not fit for broadcast, and not only will the quality and standard of the show drop to something fit for CBBC, but its integrity will also be compromised since they will be hiding things more than ever, and when we don't have 24/7 live feed, that's even more detrimental than it is now.
How do you complain to CHANNEL 5?
Now that I don't know, because I would never complain  but have a browse around the website, I'm sure there's a feedback form, or maybe even find out the controllers email address? It'll be their name @channel5 or something idk

They didn't read it back because he said "If I were pissed, that pasta would go in your face" Not quite the death threat you screamed about!

No but he did threaten to slap him twice then actually throw things at him.
He also did say that if he was drunk then he would put the bowl of pasta in marcs face.
Why can't he have an argument without violence being involved?
....hmmm, I'm not excusing or condoning Danny's behaviour at all...but Marc's whole stance was completely different with him and completely passive aggressive as opposed to how he had been with the females, Chloe and Aisleyne...he really does just 'pick on the weaker'..or what he perceives as weaker because I think he sees females generally as 'weaker'....
...his whole questioning was just dumb because there is not one of them including himself that wouldn't want to win this...also slightly off topic I know but to call someone a liar when they've sworn on their Mother's grave about something is fairly grim, he should have dropped it all at that point...mind you I think that swearing on a life or grave is a pretty childish thing to do as well, why would anyone feel the need to do that..if they fully believe that what they're saying is the truth then that's all that is needed...

But even if we were to conclude that marc had behaved badly, he didn't threaten anyone or get in anyone's personal space. He never even stood up. He sat calmly while Danny had a tantrum and actually threatened him and threw stuff at him.
Why shouldn't danny be removed after several violent outbursts?

Saying your going to murder someone directly if reported and you press charges (as a victim) can land them inside for 10 years and the police take it very seriously

..I think that has been answered though, by me anyway...in that I would be fine with him being ejected if ejection was consistent with any similar acts of aggression in the house...

All this seems ridiculous. I don't even like Danny but the same people who think what Helen says and does is OK are now wanting Danny lynched for it. It's bizarre, hypocritical and exhausting!
I think any policy taken in BB must be consistent across the board. If it's OK for Helen to throw a can, Chloe to throw a glass (interesting that people rarely bring that up and she had much less provocation) then its definitely OK for Danny to throw a sandwich. All talk of what if he was alone with your daughter, sister, mother is irrelevant conspiracy theorising as is speculating on what he could have thrown.

Still a threat to get physical regardless (but obviously not on the same level as threatening to glass someone).
