Are you happy or upset about the fact we only hve another 16 days left. Personally I am gutted, not only am I know missing the final, but this leaves no time atoll for show improvement or character development.
This money twist thing will probably be a fix into cutting the prize , as they've lost money from the era eviction from an extra week,
With 3 weeks of ex HMs this years barely got 5 weeks.
The ratings may no be great md it might not be an mazing series, but this is ridiculous, for me, it's the start of the end of BB as they seem to just not care, making it as sort as possible.
do you agree or are you pleased?

Not really but I think 3 housemates mentioned last night, and BB seemed to not have told us a lot of decisions they've made or things that have happened this year, so it looks like it is true
wish they had cut it shorter, and Emma mentioned it ending in a couple of weeks in her last video blog

Everything about this series is tragic. It's the start of the end.

Considering the abysmal production of this this series especially, I can't say I'm too bothered.

i disagree with most of you - this series has been great - it got iffy for me bringing back people from the past and now hearing it is being cut short my views are ? maybe thats the right decision in-case they do a major flop and it turns the whole series bad.
bb is back and they must remember all the fun things they have done with this series and keep the formula to repeat it for next year.
from one very happy big brother viewer and may i add - this is the reason i write in poetry as this is so hard to do.

Even this is disorganised chaos though because surely they should have announced the final date instead of us all having to hear it from Helen in the highlights show. It's been typical of this series.

So much was done too early into the series, there was no time to settle down to it, just over 2 weeks time will still have been around a 9 week series.
BB destroyed this one very quickly and they really need to minimise BB involvement in the next one.
It has, very sadly, actually been pointless even trying to develop any connections with the original housemates, because we have in effect seen so little of them and almost nothing of them just being housemates with no outside interference, or former housemates involvement too.
However it is BB themselves, not the housemates, who have made this a really poor series.
The problem does not lie with the idea of Big Brother as a series.
It lies with the BB production team only who have made a right royal mess of this one in my view.

I agree it is the producer fault.
they've seen the negative comments on the series as a whole, mainly the twists and instead of saying
Let's add another 2 and a half/ 3weeks after the hotel twist wih normal nominatiosn ad evictions, no twists and make this good series after all with positive comments, they just say
Just end it and hope people will forget about it.
That's the problem, they don't listen and try to approve it, they just cut it off :fist:

The show has been abysmal - a total disaster from beginning to now.

I don't think the producers even care reading the feedback. They seem to be living in their own bubble where every idea they have is original and lush.

I'm only watching it to see how it ends, not because it's enjoyable. Sooner it's over, the better

The producers need sacking for making such a ****fest.
This series is by far the worst since it moved to Ch5.

I was the same, but now I'm away when the final is on i'm just thinking.. what's the point

Have channel 5 confirmed this yet
I'm actually really enjoying this series, I was getting a bit fed up when Helen , Brian & Nikki were in the house but I'm enjoying it again.

Beyond pissed off to be quite honest. I mean we all saw it coming, but I don't care if it's crap. Ten measly weeks is all we get these days and I want every last day, there was the potential for this series to be the longest on C5 by a day or so but now it might well be the shortest.
Their disregard for the civilian show is ****ing appalling and I am sick and tired of their obsession with CBB.

I remember the same rant you had yesterday. :joker:
I do agree with BIB. Ever since CBB13 and the rise of CBB, they've completely disregarded the civilian series, which I think is a shame.
They've already gotten one part of the format right. You'd think they put in the extra effort to get both formats right and go about the same way with Big Brother, as they do with Celebrity, the same way C4 did back in 2005 and 2006.
I think the amazing promo CBB15 had and the extremely dire and close to nothing promo Timebomb had is quite revealing of what C5 think of the Civilian run.
I personally think Civvy BB has had its day. Channel 5 don't seem to be putting any effort at all anymore, for a show they pay £40 million a year on. Which is a shame as just two to three years ago, they were producing some decent civilian series (BB13 and BB14).
Might as well kill it if they're not going to do it properly, save money, and focus more on what they're good at, which is CBB.
God knows how BB can go on till 2018.
How long is BB16 now, BTW?

It should be longer, anyone who wants it cut short should just stop watching now.

They cast a bunch of boring gits at the beginning and had to get four out in order to put four more interesting ones in.
Whoever cast the original bunch should be fired and they put the series on too early. Celebrity BB had only finished 3 months prior to this series starting so it felt rushed to soon.
Helen and Marc saved the series for me.

Eh? The casting isn't the problem. It is the abysmal production team.
I think this years cast was quite good actually. As opposed to last year where both the cast and production sucked.
4in4out wasn't needed. Especially so early on in the series. They could've put the 4in4out newbies as new housemates two weeks later on in the series, without the quadruple eviction, which inevitably got rid of 4 big characters.
Timewarp week was nothing but a damp squib, and we got nothing that was offered to us. What happened to the classic tasks we were offered?
Furthering the legends stay by another week was always a bad idea, and putting in Aisleyne (although I adore her) has pretty much made the series UBB2.
Now they've gone on and are planning to put McCririck in (love him too). But there's just no point. I think they're going too far with the ex-housemates.
Not to mention the lack of normal nominations - we've had none whatsoever. And the constant meddling.
This series would've been better if:
They stuck to the Timebomb theme much better
Got rid of silly twists likes 4in4out
Had the legends in for only one week
Normal nominations
If it was up to me, I'd have Marc, Sam, Harry, and Simon entering the house on Day 32, as new housemates, without having 4in4out.
Then two weeks later, on Day 46 I would've had Timewarp week and legends come in for a WEEK only, leaving the house on Day 53.
Then have the last 2/3 weeks back to normal, with just the housemates, and normal nominations and evictions.
Scrap this Back to 80's nonsense.
This series has been a mess.
I do prefer the series to run for longer than this, but with this particular series it has been hard to choose a favourite.

Bigger isn't better though, and a lot of the time I find 9-11 weeks to be the perfect length for a lot of storylines to come to natural conclusions. A series like BB13 ended at just the perfect time, and if it lasted 13 weeks that last month would've been completely dreadful.
Jason.
29-06-2015, 02:19 AM
I think 10 weeks is the perfect length. Like BB5.
Ironically, BB15 had the perfect length. 72 Days. Friday Final. The way it should be.
With BB13 and BB14, they should've ended on Fridays, so they both should've been a few days longer.
