It was as much about saying up yours to the producers this year for me. I utterly despise what they've done to this show and housemates like Helen and Marc are a part of the problem. Firstly, the housemates had to take a backseat to the stupid twists and desperate attempts to contrive drama, all the while we should have been getting to know them properly through funny little conversations they were having as well as more serious ones. Then they had to take a backseat to a housemate like Marc who was just sent in there to dominate the show by being a prick, and then it got worse with the Legends.

Everything is wrong with this show. And yet all that's needed to rescue it is a return to the old format without all the needless meddling. Will they ever listen though?

Ashley.

Yep, I agree with this. I didn't so much dislike Marc as a person (although a lot of the time, I really did), moreso what he represented - the producer-driven mess that this show has turned into. And the more results like this, the better.

BB have protected him for weeks but now he's finally up.

But he'll probably get a funtime Frankie edit... Pulling covers off hm's, making them jump by screeching in their ears whilst sunbathing etc.. which has already gotten old.

If you are a fan of any other HM it would be wise to get Marc out now.

Helen went from villain of the house, given a road to redemption edit and went on to win. This would be a lot easier to achieve with Marc.

Jack hasn't got the fan base to win the show, Marc has. So it makes little sense to target him.

Joel, Danny, Chloe, Nick all have a very good shot at winning this years BB. Fans of those hm's will only have themselves to blame if they don't vote Marc out now and he then goes on to win.

I personally want him out because he's an obvious BB plant / performing seal that's been annoyingly hypocritical from the start.

Disclaimer: BB have proved themselves to be incredibly desperate this series and could easily introduce a twist that saves Marc, again.

Erm..I doubt it considering BB have purposely put him in a 4 way rather than the head to head the results should have been. Head to head he would easily walk it.

They have protected him so far though through various twists, no denying it

I do think they have decided now he is disposable as the final is looming.

Good luck anyway. I fully expect this campaign to actually be successful unlike the other ones, as Marc actually does bring out strong enough feelings in people so they WILL vote him out a few times. The others are just wallpaper so noone gave a crap about them

What an odd response.

I was never keen on marc. I despise Helen so Marc was never going to be one of my faves.

He did a job as far as I am concerned and was never ever going to survive a vote to evict. His exit doesn't bother me one way or the other. If he had left a few weeks ago then I would have been disappointed.

I just pity the people who spent lots of money pressing redial for him when it wasn't even needed.

Normally I would agree. But I think in this case, Marc would have left in a landslide vote regardless of whether this campaign existed or not.

You have essentially paid for something that was going to happen anyway, and now want to take credit for it.

I'd be interested to see the voting percentages. I bet marc got more than 50 per cent of the total vote in a 4 way eviction.

The bitterness lol

I don't think they're being bitter. Bitter would be to brand the result a fix, not say pretty much the opposite and suggest he was probably evicted by quite a large majority.

I was no fan of marc and think his eviction was totally fair and predictable.

All I am saying is that trying to pretend this campaign affected the result is ridiculous.

In a close head to head eviction, with say danny and joel up, getting joel evicted with 51% of the vote would be something to crow about.

But throwing a few votes at a certainty and then claiming a win is ridiculous. It's like peeing in the sea and saying you have helped stop the oceans receding.

There is no way Marc is leaving now. He is being positively edited. Most votes are cast during the eviction show and Harry will be given a complete hatchet edit while Marc will go completely missing.

There is no way that the producers can allow Marc to go now and leave people just getting along in the house. They need the tension of the 2 sides for the finale and also for this cash week nonsense.

But we contributed. If that means giving Marc 52% of the vote rather than 51%, I don't care. :smug:

Yes your votes were added to the others. But you can't claim that this campaign was a "success" and imply that he was evicted by the campaign.

He would have been evicted if the campaign didn't exist.

You just admitted our votes were added to others so you recognize we made a contribution to his eviction.

The campaign was to get Marc out. He's gone = campaign 100% success

Trying to make a point that Marc probably would have 50% of the vote with or without this thread just falls so flat when you're quoted as saying hat Marc will stay, he's been positively edited, the bookies had him leaving at 4/1, the online polls didn't see it coming and tibb is in meltdown all over the place..

At best, he narrowly lost. And a narrow lose can be thanked for a successful campaign.

I'm announcing a campaign to get a bear to **** in the woods. If we find a any bear droppings then I will declare it 100% successful.

This campaign had no bearing on the result whatsoever. The edit would have had to be extreme to prevent marc going and I don't think BB could have managed it.

Someone started a campaign about a foregone conclusion. Bit silly really. Channel 5 will be counting their cash this morning and wondering how they managed to get so much.

I'm just thinking a little bit deeper than "Yay, our 50 vote campaign to get marc out worked!"

If this is forum is pro team smug then I probably am applying too much critical thought.

By the way last night panned out, it showed that this was a nationwide campaign

No it wasn't.

The average voting viewer has never been near an internet forum and does not vote based on campaigns.

The most common thought process last night would have been "Duh that Marc has been mean to fit hero Danny, I am gonna vote to evict him."

The point is that no campaign was needed. It was obvious to anyone with 2 functioning braincells that Marc would go in a vote to evict.

Marc was a cert to go as soon as it became clear that they weren't trying to keep him.

A straightforward vote to evict with no biased edit was certain to evict marc. I did think that the producers would try and save him by editing harry or jack badly. I was wrong. It seems he was expendable after his 4 weeks of mayhem.
