I assume these people actually read the books, since they know so much about the details of the relationship?

Sorry, but it was pretty well publicized when it was released, I can't respect people who hate-read/watch things just so they have something to moan about afterwards.

And if they haven't and are basing their views on what they've heard, why care so much to get involved with the Q&A? Some people just love a good excuse to get all self-righteous and have a good old whine.

I've no interest in reading or watching Fifty Shades, and that disinterest extends to acquainting myself with the plot details and then getting on my high horse and being a twat to the author.

I read the first three chapters and I lost interest. It's probably the most badly-written book I've ever picked up, and I've read a Mills & Boone.

Their views are right... which is that they disagree with promoting rape as love.
