Think he had a fair point with Cristian actually. Cristian was blabbering on about what others had TOLD him happened...which has been the problem all along, none of them actually know/saw anything that Marc did, they just go on what Brian told them he did.

Marc isn't a control freak, he is a natural leader and he knows what he is doing. His game is to decimate them all with Rhetoric and well placed wind ups. People need to realise that this is a game and he is playing it well. Danny is the control freak and suffers badly from small mans syndrome and a very unhealthy drive to be famous at any cost. Total scammer and piece of crap.
..I don't see Marc as a natural leader at all...if he was then he would have naturally led and there wouldn't still be this whole 'alpha battle' going on so close to the final....he's only really had the loyalty of Sam throughout their time in there and Helen as well while she was there but that was only for a few weeks...what I do think though is that with him and Danny, he has always had the 'control' since he went into the house and I'd actually forgotten how Danny was in Marc's personal space right from the offing, so he never did have any 'control' with Marc and has really always been Marc's puppet and within his control....but no, for me no natural leader at all...there has always been a 'struggle for power' there...

Someone who naturally leads is a someone who people naturally follow. They are the heart rather than the head of the group. A natural leader oozes confidence but is never egotistical and doesn't control or ever try to control, but enables those around him towards positive outcomes. Marc is anything but a natural leader, he's a control freak who continually judges other house mates in a passive aggressive way. everything he does is about advancing his own agenda. He constantly tries to manage his audiences impression of himself and he tries to influence other house mates away from certain people in the house.
Yes, he's a game player to be sure but he's not a very good one and he's about as far away from being a natural leader as he is from being a comedian.

It really is horrible..I saw Brian whining and complaining in the Diary room, I saw Brian being really nasty and bitchy about Helen and Brian behind there back, and I saw several arguments. most of the arguments where started by Brian and he was loud, aggressive and nasty in all of them..aside from from the one time helen made those inappropriate comment of helens (which marc disagreed with seconds after they passed her lips) i saw very little that either of the two did.
yet still every show is people repeating the same "you antagonized brian" comment..over and over...and i've yet to see a housemate, a guest or anyone on the forum give a concrete example. in fact i've seen several make comments like ' well i didn't see but you must have' or ' he went over the wall you must have'
it is incredible frustrating for me...imagine what it must be like for marc..in the house..unable to see how its been presented on tv..and having to defend himself against claim when no one can give him examples..
and then he comments like "well its over now just let it good"
yes you have been convicted of murder and no one has given any proof (beside you look like a murder)..but you should just let it go, spend your 20 years in jail and except being branded as killer the rest of your like
please provide ME examples of marc antagonizing Brian so i can move on

I don't think he's as much of a control freak, but I do think he is frustrated,Marc has had a military background and is disciplined ,you could tell that by the way he didn't flinch when Danny got in his face,I think that is why he keeps on till he gets the truth(but it never comes)I just think he is VERY frustrated at the fact none of the numpties can see why he gets annoyed because NONE of them only Harry has been fair in the Brian situation, all the rest are like little lambs following the big I am Danny as they think he's popular,Most people like people that are different ,look how many people were impressed with Harry who stood alone defending Marc and she doesn't even like him,so no I don't think he wants control, but I do understand how frustrated he must be at not being able to get a straight answer from any of the sheep.

That's not really true. There were several times when Brian was goaded that other housemates crowded him to try to calm things down. They saw what happened and their impression was that Marc pushed Bryan's buttons. Marc was grinning, loving it at the time, making little comments while his beloved anus Helen was going in for the kill.
You can't stand behind a bully, grin and encourage, then claim it wasn't me. It doesn't wash. If he was so innocent why did he get a warning?
In any heated situation people get an impression of what is happening and who the aggressors are but after a few days have passed you expect them to remember every word spoken. I very much doubt you can remember every word Bryan spoke. I don't remember specifics without a refresher. What I do remember is Marc being there and part of it every step of the way.

Ahh I see. So what you mean is, Brian snapped, the others crowded round him to chill him out, and because Brian went OTT...that meant he was goaded. Gotcha

Bryan got angry, yes but his buttons were definitely being pushed to get him there. However that last time he was silent and looked close to tears, they'd worn him down and Marc was still coming with the psycho comments. It's fine to disagree, we got a different impression of the situation. Gotcha?

When HELEN was going at him? Also he looked raging tbh, not close to tears but we clearly see that differently
The problem with the whole situation is some appear to have merged Marc and Helen into one person...and Marc actually told Helen to calm down. Not that he is responsible for what she says mind, as much as it appears some would like him to be

I don't think they are in any way one person. Marc was more an excited terrier snapping at the heels while Helen went in for the kill. If you misinterpret me in your pro Marc ferver that's your issue not mine. Your response implies that you are misinterpreting me greatly because you have a different view.
If you think Bryan wasn't clearly upset maybe you should watch it again. Arguments take more than one person at fault. I can only give my impression of how it came across to me.

I don't need to watch it again. IMO he was fuming, not upset. He was about to lose his temper badly, and Helen was doing all she could to make that happen. |Hence the 'what you going to do' type comments to wind him up more :S

This is exactly where you are misinterpreting me. I have never said Bryan didn't shout on occasion and sometimes gave as good as he got. I'm still in sure why he tossed his shoe that time. I do feel that Helen and Marc were both goading him, pushing him. Helen was the main aggressor but Marc was not a wilting wallflower who didn't take part.

We all need to accept that this is nothing more than a complete clash of personalities.
From where I was sitting, I witnessed Marc goading other house mates and even intimidating other house mates long before he went into the bunker. Harry was the first person to really stand up to him and look how she got ostracised. Then Brian came in and had a go but unlike Harry, he didn't do so in a calm cool fashion; he got angry, he got emotional and he made a bit of a fool of himself. When Brian first lost it, he didn't lose it about the way he was being treated, he lost it because of the way Helen and Marc were being with other house mates. It wasn't just about Chloe crying at Helens words, it was about how Marc and Helen were tag teaming and ostracising certain members of the house.
Brian...even though he made an emotional mess of things...was applauded by me back then because without Brian all we would of had was a house full of puppets and Marc and Helen as their puppeteers. Much as some people hate Brian, he did cause that initial stir at a critical point.
Danny jumped on that and found himself some bravery. Brian gave Danny the courage to do what he's doing now and the problem I see is, Danny is now taking it too far. He's like an inexperienced snowboarder who's venturing more and more off piste and causing unnecessary avalanches.
Danny and Marc are as bad as each other but unlike BOTS who seem to believe Marc and him are very similar, they aren't. Marc is intelligent, manipulative and cunning and the only emotion he has is anger. Danny is a poser, a scared rabbit in the headlights that desperately wants to be seen as brave but doesn't have the intelligence to realize when he's going too far.
They just need their heads banging together!

Great insight. My thoughts exactly. Both are trying to be Alpha, but in different ways. But to me, Marc is the (as you say) manipulator, instigator of all the fractious tension.
Some may like that. I am not one of them. I believe that this type can in some cases lead to bad connotations if successful in life in the wrong postions.

I personally believe there is only one natural leader in the house and that is Joel. Some of the others try but it doesn't come naturally.
