Who/what ruined the series?

Who or what ruined this series of BB? I mean before the series was started, it had a positive vibe of being something good, but now after all that´s happened it´s widely considered as one of the worst, if not the worst.

The mass "twists". They officially went overboard and the show collapsed beneath the weight of their meddling.

The legends, but specifically Nikki, Brian, Helen and Aisleyne. Not worth the hassle. It'll be remembered for stuff they got up to rather than the original housemates.

The production staff ruined the series. They make things up as they go along, which is bound to fail. They should have a plan, ground rules and not veer from it.

Gosh that was a lot of clicking...

I don't think the housemates, or highlights shows, have been problematic - if anything they showed a lot of promise early on. The real turning point was the desperate nature of 4in4out though, and since then it's only gotten worse.

People are saying the housemates themselves ruined it. They haven't had a chance to let relationships break down or build. There's always someone foisted in on top of them.

What's the point in putting a decrepit John McCrirrick into a house with a load of younger people? Just to show how unpalatable he really is?
