I think Jack sees it fairly clearly but I don't think Christian will be hurt. He's a young man being opportunistic when the plate is thrown at him. Jasmine is the slightly desperate lonely older woman grasping the young totty. It'll never last more than a dirty weekend or two in a nice hotel.
