View Full Version : Turning into a Shilpa forum?

I've noticed recently that the Shilpa fans are really in force at the moment and everytime you say one TINY thing bad about Shilpa its 'omg your racist' 'stop being horrible' or whatever. When, I don't see any other housemate getting that treatment?

This happened with Aisleyne. She topped all the polls etc, and its happening with Shilpa. Most of the threads are about Shilpa. Fair enough she has fans- but this thread will prove how crazy they are.

It isn't. We just have our views on her, we're allowed favourites. Just cause she's popular on here doesn't make it her own "forum".

Don't get me wrong, I think shes a great housemate its just all the threads are about her.. and its rare to see an odd one about Cleo, or a betting/rankings one, when its all 'shilpas get bullied' etc

Well maybe the haters shouldn't open any topics. We are quite happy with her official topic.
But then its going to get a reply " we can air our opinion and open topics"

I know what you mean. Im happy to say good things about her, but im happy to do it all in the same thread rather than in lots of threads. It just happens that lots of threads get started about her and dont get merged. Im sure there is negativity towards her on this forum simply for this reason.

You are right, there is a lot of obsession over Shilpa, but then again it's perfectly ok to like the same housemate!

Everyone's allowed their individual views, and I try to respect them at all times, and voice mine in a non-argumentative way. It doesn't mean that I necessarily agree with them, it's just good manners in my book!

I also think it's endearing when people stick by their favourites throughout, whoever they may be. I certainly haven't, I'm very fickle! But that shows that the person is loyal - something to be valued!

I hope I don't sound rude by saying this, but you can't get all righteous if this all now erupts into an argument and the thread is closed. You're hardly respecting people's views when you say "this thread will prove how crazy they are "

So? Do you mean all Shilpa fans are crazy? I'm sorry, but I'm perfectly sane, thankyou.

It's a bit like me posting a thread entitled "Danielle's a brainless slut", it's only going to attract negative remarks, isn't it!?

Before you go off on one, that's not what I think, I'm just using it as an example.

Anyway, back to my point: please don't generalise! It's perfectly ok for someone's favourite to be Shilpa, as it is for someone's to be Danielle. Just realise that not everyone thinks the same as you!

I wasnt intending they were actually crazy.
I am a Shilpa fan- and I know I'm not crazy.

I know not everyone likes the same as me. But as I've repeated I DO LIKE SHILPA! I am a Shilpa fan!!! But yet I'm not digging at someone who says something horrible about her.

Oh dear.

I now seriously regret what I've written above.

I've had an AS exam today that determines whether the past 6 months of work has been in vain, so i'm a bit stressy.

I'm not going to apologise, as it's my honest opinion, and I guess that it's right to leave the truth, whether it's regretted afterwards or not, but I do hope that I haven't hurt anyone's feelings, as i'm a bit of a grouch today, anyway!

Well by my count there have been only two more Shilpa threads in the last 24 hours than Danielle threads.

It's not exactly an overwhelming number - some housemates attract more discussion, for a variety of reasons.

I do lol. But they get flooded with Shilpa threads.

Its not actually the threads that bother me, its the content of the threads. The fact that you get told off for saying one thing about Shilpa.

Remebering throughout this, I am a Shilpa fan.

There does seem to be quite a lot of Shilpa fans on the forum but I guess some are more passionate than others and defend everything she does.

I suppose she's one of the main talking points so far and there does seem to be a divide of opinion on her.

If a housemate is more popular or less popular than any other housemates they will get more threads. Just because more people talk about them.

Look how many Leo threads we had when he looked like going he was up going tonight. He wasn't popular but he generated lots of threads. It's just how it works.

"What his face that won BB6 generated" very few threads but he still won the show.

I think if its a new subject or people have a valid point or question then thats ok but at times certain threads just contain one word which does get tiresome seeing.

kiran19

and that word is supposedly shilpa, isn't it...

It's not just Shilpa i came on today to find like 5 Danielle threads had been made.

Peoples opinions change all the time but aslong as people have valid reasons then I don't see any harm but if 3 threads all say shilpa to win or something then that is pointless.

It is if a thread doesn't go further than x to win. If you want someone to win state your case. Convince us and we might vote with you.
