well considering the USA is the most left wing of all major world powers (certainly compared to Russia or China the only other world powers) yes, we are plenty left, we are the oldest democracy in the world.

I guess it depends on your definition of right and left though. i think fascism like in Russia and China is right wing, and democracy like USA and western Europe is left wing. I don't know what your definitions are.
