Sorry about having this thought, but I have to ask this question.

On several occasions during the series, particularly during the "set pieces" when everyone just happens to be sat in a circle in the living room holding a discussion that ends up fully covered on the next days show, I've noticed some suppressed self conscious giggles and smirks. These looks and actions didn't seem to fit the mood of the conversation suggesting to me the possibility that they were role playing or following a script.

Is this all in my imagination? Probably, at least I hope so, but one incident made me think again.

We've all just seen Nick trying to spend the night cuddling a hot water bottle instead of Harry. I ask you this.

1. Would anyone going into BB, particularly in June/July take a hot water bottle into the house with them?

2. If Nick had gone to the diary room and asked for a hot water bottle would BB have had one just lying around, and would they have given it to Nick even if they had one?

I'm thinking the hot water bottle scene was scripted.

So where did the hot water bottle come from then?

Scripted ? You gotta be kidding.....they can barely walk and talk at the same time let alone remember a script. Half of em couldn't even spell the word script

Why would they randomly throw a hot water bottle into the "script"?

The housemates always get things to make them more comfortable like eye masks and stuff.

Good point Marsh. I hope this is the answer.

i think its been a heavily guided series. Its a step down from scripting, but I think housemates are given tasks to discuss, questions to ask other housemates etc to encourage conflict. For me, it may as well be scripted because so much of it is contrived

It was already in the house as Nikki used it a lot when she was in.

I'd say the scenes are probably set up before hand but not following a script word for word. There have been many unnatural situations and conversations.

It's not scripted, I think the smirks and awkward conversations etc are just a result of them being self aware and sometimes fake because the hm's are fake, rather than bb telling them what to say. As for the hot water bottle, I think nikki brought it in, isn't the bedroom supposed to be cold? Even if not my mum sleeps with one in the middle of summer too lol so maybe nicks just weird like her :hehe:

Harry is being paid to help Nick win.

There are conversation prompts I think and BB tries to manipulate them into creating entertainment but I wouldn't exactly call that scripted
