On a Interview on BBC Radio 5 now
These would be the Killer Drones
that would operate in Syria
once the UK Parliament agree's on it
Ethical ?
No its the USA way of getting Terrorists to
attack you at home
You could say Isis need
their own Drone Base out there
to fight fair
The BBC should not give the location of this base
thats Stupid

Biased in favour of whom... Isis?
Naturally people will be thinking of poor civilians trapped in areas at the centre of any conflict.

If it's a fair fight you want, maybe we should start cutting off people's heads and posting the video, raping, killing children and anyone else who doesn't agree with us, sending suicide bombers into markets and gunmen into schools and, of course, smashing people's history with a shed load of Semtex. The truth is that the British will be blamed if we don't bomb Syria, we will be blamed if they do. Syrians are already living the worse, most frightening kind of life, and if we can help by targeting IS, then that's got to be a good thing. And really, whatever we do to help rid this planet of the infestation that is IS, the happier I will be because there is no negotiating with them.

The only people they fire a drone at are confirmed terrorists. The problem is, drones are only as accurate as the intelligence that feeds it. Thousands of innocents have so far been killed in what was supposed to be 'direct' drone strikes. If we kill 10 out of the 24 terrorists we were targeting, along with 500 innocents; that, in my eyes isn't a successful mission.

And people wonder why refugees are flocking west in their 1000s.

Do you have any evidence that the Brits have done this, as this thread is about the RAF? Or did you just pluck those figures out of the air?

Well the Brits obviously haven't as it's the US that have been carrying out lots of drone missions... but the Brits want to start... which is sort of what this thread is about. Someone isn't paying attention :nono:

Demolition Red used the term "we". Maybe I'm not the one you should be ticking off.

This is more than likely the main reason we've killed over 2 million innocent civilians, it's not a safe method in the slightest.

Col", the pilot, has two control sticks in front of him to operate the plane that is flying thousands of miles from where he is sitting.
I ask him if he is ever had to fire the Reaper's Hellfire missiles. He says yes, but adds: "It's not something I like to talk about very often."
From the article in the OP.

I don't know, Josh may shed some light on that if he responds, although worldwide over recent years over several missions I wouldn't say it was that off if 'we' means US and UK.
and a missile from a plane is of course 100% accurate and never results in any collateral damage
We didn't ask for there to be mental murderers beheading innocent civilians. From a UK perspective, drone operations are by far our best option to combat the ISIS threat

I'm all for Reaper strikes if it keeps our soldiers from having to go in and put their life on the line. This seems like the safest way we have to fight back.Pretty sure Hellfires are the missile that are also fired from Apache helicopters as tank busters and are accurate.ISIS don't fight fair so if we can kill them without putting our soldiers and pilots lives at risk then all the better.

These terrorists surround themselves with civilians as human shields. So, no matter what method you choose to attack them with, there will be unwanted casualties.
I'm not getting this aversion to using drones, the reasons for not using them don't hold water I'm afraid. The same technology is used in drones as would be used on a manned flight. Are you saying we should forgo any form of missile attack and engage them in hand to hand combat? If so I would have to laugh I'm afraid.

The Method of Sniper
means you kill the terrorist
and they can be a near a mile away.
So you are not correct
about "no matter what method"

'collateral damage' that's all civilians there are? we call the murder of innocents here terrorism.

I thought we were talking about agreeing or not agreeing on using drone attacks from the UK?
I said, 'If we' kill 10 out of the 24 terrorists we were targeting, along with 500 innocents; that, in my eyes isn't a successful mission." and you want evidence of that 'if'?
I don't understand your question or are you just trying to be pedantic?

That would require us having to put our forces on the ground. Thats certainly not going to happen any time soon, and it would also result in us taking many more casualties. Something else that is not going to happen.
If we want to combat the isis threat any time soon, the most effective method is drone attack
