The first part was on again at ITV1 this afternoon (at 12:40) and the second part is on again tommorow (Sunday) at around the same time on ITV1. And I think the 2 shows are being repeated on Sunday Night on ITV2.

Could someone upload some of the ITV showing of Idol. I would be interested how it is different with Deeley. Do they even show Ryan, because when they show here it is just with Ryan, but I did read somewhere else more indepthly that she would have excluvive interviews and stuff like that, but that she would not be shown when it aired on FOX in the states. So if someone could upload her scenes that would be much appreciated.

I think Cat only does a Brits point of view. Personally I don't think the bits with Cat actually work very well. She seems to come out with pointeless trivia about the city they're in.

There are always better singers on AI than on X factor - except leona.

The best bit was the guy singing Bohemian Rhapsody and the judges just cracked up.

Joss Stone turns down 'American Idol'

Joss Stone has revealed that she turned down an offer to appear as a guest judge on American Idol.

The 19-year-old singer was invited on to the show by Simon Cowell but refused because she is opposed to the "cruel" nature of TV talent searches.

"I find these shows far too cruel," Joss told The People. "Music should be allowed to develop naturally."

Stone's third album Introducing Joss Stone is released in March.

It's on ITV2 on Friday Night at 8:30.. then they repeat the first episode on ITV1 on Saturday in the afternoon sometime (this week it was 1:40pm) and they repeat the second episode on ITV1 on Sunday at around the same time. Then, I believe they repeat both episodes on Sunday Night on ITV2. lol.

Michael Jackson has denied claims that he will be appearing on American Idol.

Recent reports claimed that the Thriller singer would join the show to mentor contestants before they performed some of his biggest hits in a special episode.

"There is absolutely no truth to the rumour that Michael Jackson is going to appear on American Idol," Jackson's representative Raymone Bain told Access Hollywood. "He has signed no agreements with anyone."

Executive producer Nigel Lythgoe also denied the claims: "It's not true. It's just not true. We won't be seeing him."

However, Lythgoe did promise fans that they could expect exciting news in the next few weeks, promising "the biggest thing to happen to Idol in five years".

Only reason for putting Leslie over Melinda as I feel Melinda is too similar to a few others but not as good.

I thought Brandon was good in the auditions but was really dull on the live shows.

^^Brandon has a good tone to his voice and is definitely one to watch. He was rubbish last week but he's got potential.

the stronger perfomers need to watch that they don't peak to early. We've got 10-12 weeks left. I hope they've got plenty in the tank.

Gina Glocksen showed a touch of arrogance that I didn't care for. She didn't hit the note at the end of the song

For me Melinda was one of the stronger singers and I don't think it really matters that she may be quite similar to others. Plus, the woman has zero confidence but can sing like she did. If she sticks around for a few weeks she'll be one to beat.

I note that the annual 'vote for the worse' have targeted Antonella Barba and Sundance Head. It'd be a travesty if Antonella got in the final twelve above any of the others.

Brandon just needs to do a really challenging song to show what he's really made of or do something slightly different to the usual songs.

Antonella really was terrible, I think only her looks helped her get through.I didnt think Sundance was that bad, re-watching that Sanjaya kid almost sent me to sleep and he really did suck so he's the worst guy for me and yet they said he was in the top 4 :shrug:.

^^ I see what you mean about Antonella's looks. In the show where they picked the twelve girl, as I recall they picked Antonella ahead of another girl. I recall they were the last two to take the lift up to the judges suite. I thought the girl who was rejected was a better singer. I think she subsequently broke down in the lift. Tragic. Antonella doesn't seem to be ready for the competition. I'm sure she thinks she can just learn the words perform and get a pat on the back.

I liked Nicole Tranquillo by the way. But the song choice was poor. As Randy said it was too urban but she does have a good voice.

The best part of the show is when Simon get bitchy with Ryan Seacrest. I was howling when he asked Ryan if he was trying to date Alayna. It seems that Simon has not heard the rumours about Ryans sexuality.

Cowell defends 'American Idol' hopeful

Simon Cowell has leaped to the defence of American Idol contestant Antonella Barba, insisting that it was "disgraceful" of friends to sell racy photos of the singing hopeful.

Several pictures posted on the internet show four women posing topless at the beach and a woman engaged in a sex act.

Anonymous postings allege that Barba is pictured in the photographs, but the 20-year-old insists that she is not depicted in the raciest of the pictures.

Cowell told People: "I think it's disgraceful that so-called friends would sell these pictures. It's private property. I really, really have a problem with that – big problem."

In 2003 American Idol disqualified Frenchie Davis from the competition for appearing on an adult website.

I like Melinda. She's just warming up and her vocal performance on last weeks show was like a singing master class. When she gets a bit more confidence, she'll be the one to beat.

I do not like Jordin. This is another case of Simon Cowell getting it right; I recall he called her too 'cutesy' in her audition. She's making me want to throw up.

Stephanie Edwards is another stand out and Lakisha is destined to be a big start.

I think Sabrina is overrated and I do not like Gina Glocksen. Antonella Barba has to go next if only for the integity of the contest.

I watched American Idol for the first time this week.

Sundance and Sabrina should not have left :nono: Ironically it was the people they were each called to the stage with that I thought should've been one of the four eliminated.

Melinda gave the best performance out of both the girls' and boys' shows. I think she could win. Lakisha is also very good, and I liked Gina too. From the boys I liked Sundance and Chris Sligh and now one of them have been voted out. Overall the boys are very weak this year. I predict a girl winner.

Tghe vote for the worst campaign is reaching fever pitch. It looks like Sanajaya is going to be around for a while. Simon Cowell has threatened to quit if he wins, hardcore AI fans are going on hunger strike till he's voted off and most commentators agree that if he wins it will be a major 'Shark jumping' moment for AI. It's only a TV show but the winner does automatically gain a million dollar recording contract. Oh dear, suddenly I can see what all the fuss is about.

Are you kidding me?? Sanjaya News was MASSIVE in the United States. On every single news station 24/7. Without a villain/antagonist the show gets boring and the ratings drop. There is no more excitment now that Sanjaya is gone. This season has been terrible anyway, they should have just let the worst singer win.

I think even this year's top 12 wipes the floor with most of the people we got on X-Factor.From last year's top 12 about seven of them have had albums that got to the top 10.

I can see quite a few of the 12 getting album deals and having fairly good career's, several of them are also meant to be good songwrites.Stuff that I've heard from Blake,Chris R and Chris S is of a pretty good standard.

Nah Kelly has tryed to hard to get away from american idol she went to the final this year since she won 5 years ago but she only really did that to boot her album up the charts as supposdly its not that great ever since carrie has won even though it was 2 years ago she keeps coming back to american idol twice this year and twice last year and her album is still in the charts after 2 years in america which is great and has sold over 6million and thats just her first album imagine her next one she will beat kelly for the most sucessful idol i think :thumbs:
